Huge can of asshattery being unleashed the last couple of pages, theres really no need for it, but I guess thats to be expected when people get convinced that they are the pinnacle of objectivity and verbal jousting* (Hi Jacques Clouseau). C^3 is not a very good show from alot of standpoints, personally I watch alot of bad shows, and bad is a subjective term for the most part anyway. You can turn of your brain and just enjoy the colours and the other shiny stuff. I dont see why anyone needs to be judged for it. Funnily this sentiment gets repeated time and time again but it appears snapping at differing opinions and general douchebaggery is alot more appealing.

"i watch anime" is a truly unspecific statement...
anime pretty much covers all the usual genres, combines them and adds that weird shit only japanese seem to think of, creating a broad mass of animated goodness from mindfuck to moe, take your pick!
i like c³, it is lighthearted fun with unusual elements (ultraviolence, some cliché drama). i dislike gc, because that mc is not even a blank sheet, but a pair of pissed pants. (i have to admit that i liked the animation and had high hopes, maybe that added disappointment ruined it more that it objectively should have)
but i dont shit all over shows i do not like, i simply stop watching them ~~ and if some poor bastard uses the ADT as his only source of information, he will learn the hard way that some research, as simple as reading a summary on wikipedia, can easily filter any recommendations in his interest!

C^3 is a darker version of Shana. The only reason I watch it is because it much darker so there more dept in it. When I watch C^3 Fear reminds me so much of Shana when ever she says Urusai! -.-
Of course the plot is very different >.> lol

Wait, so is C3 "lighthearted fun" or "much darker than Shana"? Since I'm PRETTY sure it can't be both.

I meant C3 is darker and Shana is more light hearted xD. I am not that big a fan of shana
C3 > Shana

(no disrespect to those who like magical girl animes) As a Magical Girl Anime, Madoka is very unique. I'm not really a fan of that genre but I really enjoyed Madoka. What I recommend is that you watch just the first 3 episodes. At this point you will realise whether it's the right show for you.

Have at you! As an Expert Connoisseur of Character Judging ®, I read the last few pages in absolute shock. How could anyone not put Morishima-Sempai as the top character in Amagami SS? It astounds me how the youth of today lack appreciation for refined ojous, especially those voiced by Shizuka Itou.

I'll be honest: it has both, which is why it's such a weird anime with a lot of different opinions. Whenever they fight, it gives off a very dark feeling but then it'll later transfer into moe happiness and cabbage masters and Saito Chiwa voice fan service. It definitely shouldn't be labeled as both dark and lighthearted but the fact that it clearly has both elements is what makes this anime so strange because it can't seem to decide what it wants to be. I enjoy both aspects of it individually, so I watch it, but someone more critical of anime would unsurprisingly find it bad because of the attempt to mesh both aspects into one show, among other reasons.

Give it 3 episode and you can consider if it right anime for you. It was a magical girl anime that wasnt your typical magical girl anime. Which is why by alot of people standard, it was considered so good.

Shaft did the Madoka series.
And if you dont know who Shaft is then idk how else to help you.
Like the posts above me, by episode 3 you'll realize what this anime is really about.

K so whenever they fight, the fights are "dark" (whatever that means). But someone was saying that C3 being "much darker than Shana" made the anime more DEEP than Shana. How can "dark" fights translate to adding depth to the anime, which normally refers to the plot.

The plot has been pretty poorly executed so far, but the basis of trying to correct the wrongdoings of humans against cursed tools (somewhat trying to avoid plot "spoilers") is supported by the dark feel of the fights. And by dark fights I mean stuff like a drastic change in background, facial expressions, manner of speech, etc. That's what I would assume at least since "darker than Shana" is someone else's opinion and not mine. I'm just pointing out that there are both dark and lighthearted components to this show, and the producers are obviously trying to seriously include both.

What do you guys think about Casshern? I've watched it now 8 episodes and it's kinda bullshit. At first I thought it could be great with the whole post-apocalyptic world where robots have wiped out humans, but seems like the creator of this anime forgot what a fucking robot is. I can't stop lolling how every episode introduces a "robot" that looks exactly like a good looking young human woman/girl. Okay the looks are not the problem really, I mean androids are pretty common in scifi, but these "robots" also have feelings like humans, they cry, they fall in love, they have dreams, one of them even fucking fainted (lmao, robot fainting?), and apparently they also age (and I don't mean that they gather more rust). I mean come on, I don't care how advanced the technology is, these human robots are no robots but just pure humans who don't need to eat. I was ready to accept it on Casshern on the sake that he is 'special', but as the series goes on you notice he ain't special at all, only thing he has special is his strength. I think I'm not going to watch more, but I'd like to hear what others think of Casshern.

I assume you're talking about the new series?
Cuz the 80s casshern was pretty sweet.
Also I find your opinion to be idiotic, shortsighted and smallminded.

I'm quite sure Casshern Sins has nothing to do with technological realism, kinda strange thing to get stuck on unless you're some hardcore gundam otaku...

I guess you're talking about Casshern Sins rather than the original? Haven't seen the original but ended up dropping Sins halfway through back when it was airing.
I thought it tried bit too hard to be deep and progressed really slow with very small entertainment value or something along those lines, so basically it just got boring. Been a couple years since it aired and my memories are quite vague.

Why is it strange to get stuck on realism? What is strange imo is to accept something that doesn't make sense just because. Perhaps I can't enjoy this show because I'm not a religious person either, I can't swallow bullshit. I need some sort of realistic explanation, even if it's far fetched. The "robots" in Casshern make no sense.
And I also shared my opinion on the series and asked what you guys think. What's up with this hostility towards me? Kinda lol. Did I hurt some hardcore casshern fans feelings? lol
