The protagonist of a lot of anime aimed at male adolescents is designed for the viewers to connect with right? I know that I personally would rather be Lelouch than Shu. Pretty sure CC was the reason CG was so popular at the start. That and the awesome storytelling. GC has a completely different type of storytelling, one that would displease viewers who were expecting a CG type of storytelling. Also Inori's nowhere near CC.

I actually kept watching it, its a lousy show but it was totally different from what I was expecting after the first couple of episodes so Ill give it credit for surprise and stick with it. So far the only reason to watch it is if you like loli's , chick with big tits that turn into swords, bondage and or overuse of the word bitch by Sayaka Ohara..(o my snow white, why you do this ?!?!)

There were tons of reasons why CG was so popular. If you think about it, it does reach a wide range of crowds, both male and female, young and old. There's a draw for a wide demographic of audience. GC though seems to basically concentrate on a much narrow younger male audience. Just the fact that Shu doesn't appeal to girls the way Lelouch and Suzaku did already is already a huge difference.

Well, you were recommended to watch C^3 by ADT's resident lolicon-with-shittaste, so.... On November 24 2011 23:32 baubo wrote: There were tons of reasons why CG was so popular. Okay I've kept silent and I can't take this shit. CG appeals to a younger male audience? Geass somehow appeals to older people? What the fuck. They both are aimed at the same fucking demographic. Who was it that said the main difference between the 2 anime are Lelouch and Shuu? This is true, since Lelouch almost single handedly ruined Code Geass, and turned it into the train wreck that it is. But Lelouch was terrible MC. Lelouch was a badass? I don't remember which one of you said this, but really? He was a douchebag who had the favor of writers who would bullshit every single situation to go his way. On the other hand, we have Shuu. Is Shuu anything special? No, we have see his type many times before, dating back to Amuro in MSG. This means that if we had to guess where his character is going to go over the course of the show, we have a really good idea where he is headed. If you are looking for originality or something, you are most likely going to be disappointed. But I'd take an Amuro-type character over Lelouch any day of the week. There is also a possibility of Shuu going the Shinji Ikari route, but I highly doubt that. GC isn't Evangelion (thank god). How is it that GC is somehow aimed at younger people, while CG is aimed at older people? The setting story are so similar. Occupied Japan, the Japanese getting slaughtered, MC gets a super power, mechs fight each other, insert random school bullshit every other episode. The difference is that Shuu is a standard MC, CC is Ayanami Rei, Kallen is in a wheel chair, and Hayato Jin is their leader. Oh yeah, also Supercell, and lack of Clamp noodle-people.

What does trippy head tilting surreal art have to do with c^3 being a bad show though ? He should just stick with Shaft and make good shows. edit- o nevermind you were just calling him out. I should probably pay more attention to quotes.

What if C^3 isn't good, and thats why he can't enjoy it? Because I'm PRETTY sure that it is not good. At the very least, reading what people have had to say about each episodes leads me to believe its pretty bad. And then when the main praise this show gets is about "Fear-chan", which essentially comes down to "omgggg loli fapfapfapfap", that suggests the show is crap. Some people don't like retarded anime. Plus, I think pedophile lolicon anime watchers like yourself probably sicken alot of people.
