I don't watch as much as I used to, and spend more time reading light novels instead. But this season Fate/Zero and Haganai has really caught my attention. Surprising since I've read both light novels and therefore more or less knew the plot. Also tried Guilty Crown due to how much I absolutely loved Code Geass. But that series is boring as hell so I've dropped it. | ||

I think you are talking about the other dude that was part of the tripod between that shopkeeper lady and the monarch. The Wizard is ally with the ice witch because the ice witch is his student. I dont think Wizard showed up once except when he came to tell everyone that he was going to study abroad. | ||

However, the main character personalities of both anime are different, which undoes any similarity. CG was centered on the MC, Lelouch, who was a intelligent, strong-willed, determined guy. Surprisingly, it's not even a competition at least for me. She was likable way before her arc even began and the entire series felt like an Ayatsuji tease waiting for her arc. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + everyone here always prefers the yandere -_- if i were to choose which arcs were my fav, id have to go with kaoru>morishima>rihoko>nanasaki>ayatsuji>sae kaoru reminds me of how me and my ex started going out. morishima cause Itou Shizuka is just too damn kawaiiii (+1 KazeHydra) rihoko cause shes just too damn awesome. haters gonna hate. | ||

As for best anime this season, my votes go to..... Uhhh..... Fate/Zero for sure, then some sort of combination of Gundam AGE/Guilty Crown/Horizon/Mirai Nikki | ||

CC is a million times better than Inori, even though Inori might be the hottest drawn woman I've ever seen. The storytelling is much more coherent in Code Geass, where it meshed with the action sequences quite well. While Guilty Crown sacrificed plot in order to have more stuff blowing up. When I finished watching an episode of Code Geass back when it aired, I kept wondering what's going to happen next. When I finished watching an episode of Guilty Crown, I kept wondering if the next episode will actually show something relevant. Edit: my opinion of course. I can see how Guilty Crown would interest viewers. But it didn't do it for me. And the early opinion from Japanese fans seems to agree. It's not nearly as popular as Code Geass was when it came out. So it at least lack the mass appeal. | ||
