Without Luffy the best thing Zoro could do would travel around and fight strong people for the sake of it. Zoro alone doesn't go out of his way for things, he wouldn't antagonize many people and he wouldn't befriend many people. Why is that bad for Zoro? Because it's not only a bit dull, it would also be too peaceful and he might miss the opportunity to get stronger opponents because he doesn't start big scale conflicts. Now, Luffy has a very vague goal. It's more like a dream, an adventure. Luffy maybe cherishes the journey itself more than his goal. His sense of what is right and wrong is very strong(a strong agenda) and he is very proactive about it. That makes his path quite clear in every new situation and leads to a lot of conflicts. Luffy is quite literally a troublemaker. One who can potentially incite conflicts at a moment's notice and piss off big guys very quickly. Not only is Zoro likely to get into more fights with stronger opponents when following Luffy, he will also be doing the right thing Because let's be honest: Would Zoro traveling alone ever have attacked several bases of the Marine and encountered a buster call aimed at him? Probably not. | ||

Probably not. ? Luffy met Zoro as he was about to get executed by the marines (a corrupt one). He did this while being nice to a girl and making a "friend" you could say. That and he was a pirate hunter who went around hunting pirates as his means of getting by. He would have wound up on the grand line sooner or later (Remember how he was recruited by Baroque Works?) He has plenty of potential to do crazy stuff on his own. | ||

i dont know the proper way to say it Luffy just has a stronger sense of self then Zoro, Luffy would never follow anyone and attracts people to follow him in a way Zoro couldnt mimic | ||

Any member of the crew would do the same for other crew members tbh. Everysingle one of the showed that they are willing to die for each die from time to time. | ||
