It could of been introduced because it has already been done.

seems like he plans to use laws fruit to switch out important people
take someone who cant talk, have law switch them with someone important and then law uses his strings to control the mute body, since the person cant talk and cant control there body they have no way of alerting people that a switch ever happened

Forikorder: Do you still think that attacking Doflamingo might be considered same thing as attacking a Tenryuubito (aka a huge crime time to send an Admiral), in the World Government's eyes? Do you still think that the World Government trusts Doflamingo, and that they are on good terms? Do you still think that Doflamingo attacking the Heaven's Tribute ships was a ruse to cover up them sharing loot with Doflamingo? Do you still think that Doflamingo is not blackmailing the Tenryuubito, and that they are actually friends? Do you still have doubts that Doflamingo has information about the Void Century?
|
well the last part is 99% true since he knows some deep secret of theres and it would be very wierd if that deep secret came into existance after the void century
and im SORRY that i thought the Tenryuubitos had more solidarity then they turned out to
im never going to say that im 100% right i just like to come up with plausible theorys and see where they go

but he can swap people within the room, cut them apart, etc
so why wouldn't he be able to? people are objects!

Law already showed hes capable of moving souls around from body to body, so it might be possible to do it with dead bodies as well.
|
Usually 'soul' is defined as the thing that leaves the body when you die.

When he swapped the whole 'personality' of much of the crew around? Doing things like putting Sanji in Nami's body, or Nami in Franky's body? His swapping powers aren't limited to "Objects".

I question if he could swap people's devil fruits. If he can do personality and "souls" why not a certain special thing in their body. Give Luffy, Ace's fruit and Sabo, Luffy's for awhile lol.

i was meaning he would need a soul in a body in order to swap. if the person is dead theres no longer a soul to exchange.i dont recall him being able to move something without it needing an parallel object to move with it in sync. i could be wrong

So Corazon used the eternal life powers to save Law, fruit respawns, and Law snatches it from DD who wants its powers. I wonder if Corazon may have even used it on Law at DD's request, since he wanted to raise Law as the next Corazon and would also be an indirect way of killing Corazon. There's got to be more to it than that, but that seems like a good basis for what happened.
If DD already had the String Fruit, it becomes the fact that DD just needed a way to placehold the fruit.

I don't think he can, when he swapped the den den mushis snow flakes appeared, and I think he swapped something in the palace with them as they teleported in. I you look at his fight with Doflamingo (in Chapter 724), he had to throw a piece of wood in the air to swap with it to get in range to save Sanji

I had forgotten about the persona swap. It would have really been cheap if Law had taken a random DD goon with him and just swapped DD into the goon forcing DD to fight in a weak body with his own strong body having an incompetent user.

Or just swap DD with Trebol. They have completey different powers and would be unable to fight effectivley. Damn plot armor.

Personality swapping isn't an invincible ability. You can most likely protect yourself from it with haki especially if you know the abilities of the Ope Ope fruit well and know its coming.
And for the people that will say that haki can't stop people from using abilities, yes that's true, but haki over an area can prevent devil fruit abilities from having an effect on it.
