Each fruit regenerates after a certain number of years (I have heard), so that is why BB has the book with all the fruits and stuff in it (Hence how he knew he wanted the Yami Yami no mi)

It's never been stated in the manga, so you'd be correct that you haven't read it. Devil fruits still haven't really been explained. The prevailing logic behind the book of fruits is that someone in the past went around the world to collect and draw the fruits and then watched a new owner eat each one and recorded the power. However, Blackbeard was able to extract a fruit's power from Whitebeard. We don't know the process, but it's possible he was able to actually extract the fruit from Whitebeard and could see it, record it (if he wanted to), and then eat it. So it's possible that a powerful man once went around killing DF users, extracted their fruits, and made a record of all of them. Another option is that someone or something created the fruits and created a guidebook to go along with them. If Vegapunk and/or Caesar can, why not someone else in the past?

This is so good lmao | ||
