Like the other day I was bored and retwatched the scene where they burn and farewell Merry and had tears in my eyes after watching that 7minute video lol. The emotional scenes in One Piece are pretty awesome while Naruto has only really the death of Jiraiya and the death of Minato/Kushina for me. | ||

the anime handled it really well as for the bit about Zeff eating his own leg - the anime has a thing against people injuring themselves. That's why it retconned Luffy stabbing himself in the eye, Zoro stabbing himself in the guts vs that clown dude, Zeff eating his own leg and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. | ||

Love those tiny details. Only thing in the Fishmen Island Arc I was abit sad about is that we didn't get to see the Dojo- | ||

The entire chapter was building to the moment where everyone in the crew was willing to sacrifice their dream for Luffy. The deep rivalry between Zorro and Sanji mixed with amazing respect made me reread that chapter way too often :D | ||
