it's not that the arc sucks, it's that it's taking to long and the SH's and Luffy keep making the same stupid mistakes all over, they should have show some growth and inteligence.. if kaidou was ruthless they would allready be all dead.. it's the #952 chapter and he still behaves like a kid instead of the pirate king he wants to be.. he could have been killed 3 or more times allready! But i believe this chapter will be better and we will have some very big reveals later on crossing my fingers | ||

I think the main problem is that they are just waaay too many. 3-4 samurai to the 2 that were introduced beforehand would have been fine, but there are 9 sheaths, the Yakuza, the beast pirates, Big Mum and a bazillion other side chars. Feels to me like Oda is trying to fit way too many minor stories into this arc and the pace is crawling as a result. | ||

I also loved this chapter. Oda is simply always able to give me the chills (both positive and negative), which is something that I don't really have with many stories/writers at all. | ||

...but at the same time it's kinda weird... was he a human the whole time disguised as a fox or did the fox somehow learn to transform into a human? Is there a devil fruit involved? The puff of smoke looked similar to Raizo's ninjutsu, so maybe it's not magic related at all and just a technique. | ||
