Anyways, there's still some plot lines left, Ichigo's dad's background and the whole key business remains mostly unresolved.

It has so much potential to be some much better that people keep watching, almost every single one having tons of ideas for exactly what they want to happen. It just never does. At the end of 422 it could have gone any one of dozens of amazing directions, and I really feel like it landed on one of the worst of those. Completely ignoring the potential of amazing plot directions from Ichigo no longer having shinigami powers with which he was suppressing his inner hollow etc.

Anyways, there's still some plot lines left, Ichigo's dad's background and the whole key business remains mostly unresolved. I've liked Bleach, but I don't like it now. It's like watching Heroes there was a time when it was good but then it became worse and worse but for some reason I kept watching hoping it would get better even though there were only tidbits of good. Bleach had an interesting concept at the start but it was completely abandoned for just random strong enemies. Ah la Ichigo is fighting Hollows in the Arancar arc but they don't seem like Hollows, they just wear white. Woopie dee doo. Good guys become part hollow/demon including main character just equals anxty training sequences. Why did Ichigo have a hollow inside to begin with? Possible reveal with his dad? Maybe his mom was a hollow? Lol jk he loses his powers, non issue next arc.

This is Kubo's chance to revive the series, it just had a completely disastrous 3 or so year stretch where it just kept getting worse and worse. Maybe he can blank slate it and make it good again but who knows I think most of the fans have lost interest already anyway.

Haha I had the exact same thoughts about Naruto... just make it a huge armageddon battle, kill 90% of all known characters and the story would become amazing again... No, sadly this won't happen as the limits on Shounen are kinda strict due to the age distribution amongst the audience. Seinen just is the better genre for teens and adults.
