If Bleach is to seriously continue, let Karin become the new protagonist.
Ichigo should just resign to being the future Isshin when another main protagonist arrives.
Also, Kubo should hurry up and resolve all loose ends. What the hell was with Aizen raging agains the Soul King and yet we don't get a glimpse of it? Balls. I thought he was going to kill the soul king so he could become god, thats basically what i understood

I thought he was going to kill the soul king so he could become god, thats basically what i understood I have a theory on that. I don't remember in which of the 2 (anime or manga) I heard this, but there was a memory or something in which Aizen is told that some woman has become a guard of the soul king. He didn't take it well. So my guess is that becoming a guard of the soul king isn't a job you volunteer for or can refuse, so Aizen went crazy, because the love of his life got "stolen" from him and that's why he wants to destroy him. Maybe even free her. Seems pretty typical for anime in general.
BUT I could be totally wrong. Not even sure if I remember it correctly. lol

what is the significance of the title "Bleach" to the story, I never figured that out

according to yahoo answers:
Nobody knows. Tite Kubo never said why he named the manga/anime Bleach. Some popular guesses:
Shinigami 'Bleach' or wipe clean the souls of Hollows
When a Japanese person with black hair bleaches it, it often comes out redish/orange in color, so though Ichigo's hair is naturally Orange, it might be a little joke because of his hair color
Tite Kubo is a big fan Nirvana fan, and Nirvanas first album was called Bleach (I think it was the first, or at least one of their first)
personally i think it's just cuz it's a random cool sounding english word. but i think ichigo's hair might be a good guess. i mean kubo does seem to have a big affinity for appearance/fashion

I think, most logically bleach refers to shinigami exterminating hollows just like how bleach removes stains lol

I can't remember where I read it but, someone said mangakas sometimes just open up a JP<>EN dictionary and randomly pick a word that looks or sounds cool :|
I was bored so I found the source: http://www.bleachforums.com/showthread.php?30469&mode=linear under: Shonen's Jump Comic-con
SJ: Why did you pick Bleach as the title? Kubo-sensei: The title wasn't Bleach when I decided to draw a story about Soul Reapers. (Shinigami) This was before I drew the one-shot manga that appeared in Akamaru Jump. The weapon wasn't a sword, but a scythe. Only Rukia had a scythe and the other characters used guns. At that point, the title was Snipe [as in "sniper"]. Right before I started drawing, I began to think that a sword would be better and realized I couldn't use Snipe as a title anymore. I began looking for a title that grasped the bigger picture. Soul Reapers (Shinigami) are associated with the color black, but it would have been boring to use "black." "White," on the other hand, can suggest black as a complementary color. So I chose "bleach" to evoke the impression of the color white. [Kubo-sensei explained to us how he chose English chapter titles for the manga. He uses a dictionary to look up words that match his idea for the title, and ogten replaces a word with one that has a similar meaning but sounds better. Kubo-sensei didn't use a dictionary to choose "bleach" because the English word is already commonly used in Japan.]
source for 2 more arcs: http://iareawesomeness.wordpress.com/2010/03/01/tite-kubo-interview-jump-festa-2009-and-other-spoilers/
+ The current arc is soon on climax, it will end by the middle of 2010 (The current arrancar arc has been going on for 4 years) + Kubo’s originally not the type to work out a plan, so he still hasn’t decided on a concrete end to the arrancar arc. (as of 2009 when this interview took place) + But from this onwards, he’s told people there’s to be 2 more arcs and then Bleach will be OVER. +The next arc is a short one, and there’s an initiative for the next one. He also said that there would be an Isshin arc…

I thought it was because Ichigo's hair looks like its bleached, but I'm not sure

+ Show Spoiler +to anyone hoping this won't be about ichigo:
the newest arc is called "the lost shinigami representative arc", and there's someone remarkably similar to aizen on the last page of 424, so we might even see a comeback.
On second thought, I'll spoiler it all.

+ Show Spoiler +So... what then? Ichigo gets abducted by the Renji/Aizen hybrid character (Or perhaps Aizen has stolen Renji's eyebrows and the power they contain!) and Karin/Everyone else has to come save him re-starting the action and the weeks on end of Rukia saying 'Ichigo...' and Orihime saying 'Kurosaki-kun...'
Spoiler as a response to your spoiler. I don't like the way you think :-p But at this point I'm about ready to give up on actively hoping for good/awesome things to happen, and just read along until its over.
It still cracks me up how many people here on TL in particular seem to dislike the series but have strong opinions about what they hope will happen next, and keep reading just in case it does.

its just something that i think alot of people read to fill time as there isnt much else. I started with bleach and was like woah this is a bit different, before it went a bit bland into the become stronger brawler type. But i still follow it because i havent found much else, and it does have its moments.
curious about this new arc, bleach has the chance to do something new, give new characters a shot, may actually see tatsuke more i was so disappointed she could only see ghosts and never actually joined the main plot.
btw any one know what the heck happened to nel? she just kinda vanished.... vanished as in she was with everyone then never mentioned ever again. or did i miss something here?

Not One Piece level by any means... but nothing like how people bash it in the English speaking world. Bleach is very popular outside Japan in the sense that tons of people read it. It's just that everyone that reads it hates it When you say popular in Japan, do you mean that it sells well, or that the fan reception on manga forums is really good? I mean that junk for Bleach still sells well. Cards, toys, movies, etc.

And just like that, we transition seemlessly from massive sword slashing, soul reaping battles into daily school like. I do like Ishida's new look, he reminds me of Apporo Granz.

What anime is that? Can't be bleach...

Oh! Oh! I'll take a wild guess. Everything we are reading is a dream, ever since he passed out after the Aizen battle. What he is dreaming, however, is the reality. Everyone is trying to wake him up. To get out of this utopian dream-like state he needs to defeat the guy with the evil smirk (whose bag got stolen), the so called "lost agent". Hence the name of the arc; Lost Shinigami Representative. I'm sure the reason for the sleeping beauty syndrome will be explained and will have something to do with the use of the super saiyan power he acquired for a short amount of time.

This chapter was wierd. I'm confused...

Wow you might of nailed it. It would explain why Ichigo collapsed suddenly in agony and the woke up just fine. Or why rukia has visited him
