Good art does not detail necessarily make. Which I feel weird saying because I have a huge detail boner. Being able to use flat black or white to establish depth or enforce aesthetic principles is a pretty crucial thing though, Kubo uses them well. Though I'm not the hugest fan of the picture chosen to represent that.
Ya I am not saying he is a bad artist myself. I am just saying that picture does not show he is a good artist but rather a lazy artist. During his earlyer chapters, I actually found him to be a pretty damn good artist but now it just meh.....when compare to anything in Berserk it pretty crap but Berserk has months and years in development for each chapter.

I laughed. "All according to plan, now they'll be even stronger with no pesky Bankai in the way!". Good one.
I wonder when Kubo is going to stop having Shinji Hirako stop explaining the trick to his shikai (just to remind the reader what it's doing). Don't help them figure it out like last time when it was used on Aizen. You'd think he had learnt his mistake after that.

It's because even if you know, you need years to fight against your own reflexes. Like hyperbolic chamber years.

Not necessarily there are a lot of other good manga with good art. Quiet a few shoujo manga has really good art too (EDIT#1: Bridge of Water God good shoujo art or Air Gear), but I cant find one in particular atm but just comparing Bleach to the other 2 shounen Naruto and One Piece, Bleach lack a lot more back ground and details and generally looks pretty void and desolated. I understand that weekly shounen are working on tight 1 week schedule so berserk like detail is not possible but just comparing to Kubo earlyer work, he actually had a lot more details in his work and compare to now.....it just show his lazyness. He not a bad artist at all, he just hasnt been showing much.

If they didn´t need the bankai to defeat the captains, why bother stealing them in the first place? It was an odd gimick that was defeated with another odd gimick. It achieved one thing though, it allowed them to kill old Yamamoto, so not a total waste, but it still feels like the big über-technique was a disappointment overall.

Quincies are afraid of Bankais which is why they stole them

Honest question, what was the reason why again why they couldnt steal ichigo bankai? It was the same for the captain commander too for a bit right? Cant remember particularly why they could steal his and not ichigo

Because Ichigo is part hollow

Hyperbolic years is probably equal to 1 minute for Aizen.
And we were told at the beginning bankais couldn't be stolen if you didn't know the potential limit of it. CC's bankai was unknown (but he explained it while using it just to be sure it will be stolen) and Ichigo's one was on a growing pace. But in the end, it's just because they can't seal hollow and Ichigo is part hollow.

no that was CCs personal belief Bach later stated that only he was strong enough to steal the CCs bankai and then later said that the medallions and Kirgys Jail didnt work on Ichigo because of his Quinciness

Well, lazy artist is harsh, lazy art and good art is a really fine line to walk. In art the less you put in without obstructing the work is often a sign of someone with good sense.
The picture example used really isn't great though, its really flat, I like the greys he usually employs in the chapters, the one in that picture is so dark that is just obscuring the already static and flat figure.
Going through the last chapter, an example of good panels are the ones where the buildings are iced over and the one with Matsumoto. They're not detailed but they're really clear without those details.
Kubo is a pretty excellent artist, its really just a shame that the story is... mediocre, to be kind.

Too be honest I don't pay much attention to anything in bleach anymore. I've noticed that if I like the story I pay more attention to detail in artwork - bleach I just scroll through each week.

So... they stole bankais only for the captains to say: sike I've been training I don't need bankai. Then the quincy say: sike, gotcha I am actually even stronger! Then captains say: aha sike! gotchu back, I get my bankai back and I get to do a 500 damage nuke to you :D. Quincy: jokes on you! Now that you've taken your bankai back I am even STRONGAA!!!
What's next?

What's next? Bankai is stronger than before it was stolen, new powerup to all bankai users !
|
"My bankai evolved while under quincy control!"
|
When the fuck will this ever reach the vastrolordes? At this pace, Ichigo would have wiped out the quincy armies in 2 years, convinced the quincies and shinigami to make peace in 5, and maybe actually go back to killing hollows in 8. I'll be old then!
|
If Kubo wanted another power spike, he should just make a third release or something with Ichigo coming in to save the day with a fourth(!!) release, but that would require too much work. And Kubo is lazy.
