I hate that its gotten so overlooked, can't wait till it does good on DVD. Definitely watch this. 8.5/10 action flick Merica. Fuck yeah!
Below average acting but even then it's not that bad compared to most high grossing films.
I'm not aware of the monty hall problem. Reading it now. At least it didn't have anything blatantly wrong like Rainman "There's no one on this side of the hemisphere who can count like that"....
The Monty python problem is dumb lol. Easy to understand when i finally drew it out though.

Just curious did these people go to harvard or were they just people who saw the movie. I thought that they explained well that so many hot girls were there because they sent a bus around the city picking up hot girls.

Don't think the hot girls went to Harvard...
Just got back from seeing Skyfall... Was as good as expected... It inspired me to go out and pick up the first 2 in the Daniel Craig series on Blu-Ray

+ Show Spoiler + Dredd - Went into it knowing nothing, this wasn't too bad. Decent Sci-Fi film, kinda wished you saw more though. They have this interesting world and they spend all their time in one building pretty much, that was a bit disappointing.
+ Show Spoiler + Skyfall - Pretty good, best bond movie Craig has made imo.
+ Show Spoiler + Lincoln - Daniel Day Lewis obviously stole this movie, although I was really suprised by Tommy Lee Jones in this as well. Had alot of dialogue heavy scenes but I personally found them fascinating as a bit of a history buff.
+ Show Spoiler + Zero Dark Thirty - This was pretty good. Shame it gets overshadowed by it's supposedly pro-torture stance though.
+ Show Spoiler + Django Unchained - This was really good, had so many good scenes (the scene with the KKK for example, found out it quite funny) and great preformances from Fox and Waltz. Some of the random rap music at times felt out of place but besides that, there wasn't much to nitpick. Probably my third favorite Tarantino film.

I meant his friends who said they found that the scene was unrealistic. I thought the girls were suppose to be from Boston College and other colleges in the area.

Expendables 2
Finally got around to watching Expendables 2, and well it was defo worth watching! Great action flick with all the great action heroes involved. Might not be much of a in-depth story to follow, but boy is it action packed and full of greats. AND CHUCK NORRIS!!! Makes an appearance, that is worth watching just for that. Awesome action flick, and for me personally the story was even better than the first one.
8/10 - Worth a watch

Completely agree with that. Just curious what do you find so interesting about it? I believe that it is probably Fincher's best movie and that the acting in it is superb. I do have to say though that I believe Sorkin's writing is what makes the entire movie.

Just watched Les Miserables and The Hobbit the other day. I didn't really like Les Mis; I guess the whole 90% singing isnt my thing. It was very hard to keep up and understand everything through lyrics of songs. I do love the relationship between the prisoner and the officer though. The conflict between morals and law is something I'm sure all of us have though about. The hobbit was just awesome; the scene with Bilbo and Golem was so suspensful, it gave me nerd chills!

Les Mis is actually an amazing movie. I can appreciate a movie for how well its made and how well it portrays themes besides how good any action is or how many sex scenes there are. Its very long, like 2 hr 40 min or something, but even if u dont like musicals its a good movie. So u might not enjoy the singing but it was originally a play after the book, and the novel itself is regarded as one of the best of all time. This is like many classic novels, where the plot is great but reading 1400 pages can be dreadful and not seem worth it, but watching a good movie interpretation spares you that, and that's why i thought Les Mis was great. If u absolutely hate musicals but still want to see it, i suggest the 1998 version, not a musical, with Liam Neeson.

Nikita (1990) - 8.2/10

The beginning of this movie is really bizarre. Why is some big guy with an axe just randomly destroying a bunch of stuff in a store while there's a shoot out with the cops? What's going on? Fortunately, things get better after this. This isn't really a trained assassin type movie so much as it's about being an outcast, conformity, and finding what's important to you in the world.
While parts could definitely have been done better and the pacing is quite strange at times, this is a solid and enjoyable movie. Just don't watch it if all you want is a bunch of action constantly.

The Big Lebowski

I can see why it's a cult classic. Overall, many great quotes and some scenes were hilarious.

Looper
Wasn't bad, but had a lot of wasted potential. 7/10

The Grey A survival movie, Liam Neeson and a few other lost guys against wolves and nature in Alaska. Really nice overall : Neeson is simply excellent, the first hour is almost perfect, and a few scenes stand out (the renoucement of one of the guy). It's a bit too long and redudant at times though, and doesn't avoid every cliché of the genre, but overall a really good surprise. 6.5/10

Snow White and the Huntsman
6/10 The original was better, and told the story in a more thrilling way. The acting was okay, but hardly do you ever have time to feel for the character and just felt sub-par at best. The special effects were really nice though. The queen didnt look evil enough and imo the movie would've been better if it was slightly darker.

That movie lost me about fifteen minutes in... + Show Spoiler +...when Liam Neeson's wolf-hunter extraordinaire leads everyone away from everything that could possibly help them survive, be noticed, and be rescued.
Normally, I'm happier than most to suspend disbelief for the sake of the story, but that was just too much, especially when other characters make the correct calls and get painted as selfish, cowardly morons for their trouble.
I did appreciate the way the rest of it played out. It's a survival movie genuinely focused on the characters and their relationships, and I'm down with that. I just wish the initial premise hadn't been so retarded.

As Liam Neeson himself puts it, he really isn't sure of what he should be doing. he's not a superhuman, he's just calmer than the others. And yes I agree he makes that mistake, but it's not that retarded. They feel desperate, lost, I don't see why they wouldn't make a bad decision. Also I don't think a single character is portrayed as selfish in the movie.
