It's an American book.
Also, much of the criticism is not about the fact that they show nudity, but the way in which sex is used in the storytelling. It is almost always used as a backdrop for expositionary dialogue, and is seldom between two characters where the sex act is important to their relationship. Instead they bring in prostitutes that have little to do with the rest of the story. The sex (that is shown) usually doesn't influence the motivations and relationships between the characters. There are of course counterexamples, but I am talking about what I see as the norm in the series.

For some characters the sex scene's are important however. Like the guy who fingered his own sister(lol), can't remember his name. The sex scenes are a good way of enforcing his character.

Because it is no interaction with other people (normally..). Also most people dont see sex important like the importance of shiting or eating.

I did not have this feeling. All sex scene i remember where very important to describe a relationship or a character. The last one with stanis and the witch you saw in the series is very important for the storyline.

He does everything to have fast success, she is planing and testing but is willing to go over the "standards" for it. Also her way was more successful this time than his. She found out what kind of person she is dealing with and also make sure he is not concentrated in the important upcoming visit with their father.
It was an important part of their personal "game of thrones..."

I fear its because a lot of people that watch the show do not understand the whole story and get bored during all the talking. The writers must feel that they have to throw in unnecessary sex and action scenes. One of the biggest critiques of last season was that some viewers wanted to see more action and less talking so they open this season with Clegane knocking some other guy off a bridge (which wasn't in the books).

Examples of places where i think it served a function and was used well is with Cersei/Jaime, Renly/Loras, Dany/Drogo and to some extent with Theon/whoever (though he was very keen about telling his whole life story to Ros). It also wasn't that bad with Viserys/Doreah, but that scene was clearly written just so that he could dump a lot of information about the ancient Targaryen dragons. I wonder if they could have done that more creatively. It also wouldn't be that bad if they hadn't used the exact same technique with the Littlefinger monologue (and the earlier mentioned Theon scene). That is, put some sex in so that the information dump doesn't become too boring. Even though it was a clever idea how his instructions to the prostitutes mirrored how he himself played the game, it didn't really work imo.

It was a efficient way to show the monologue (always hard to do in tv), introduce that he makes his money with prostitutes and his ability to play a role in the kings council like he can play his role as a pimp. It should show us, the contrast between his roles and so, that both are only roles for him. But i understand it felled a little bit random in this scene.

I total understand you don't want this "OH But this is different in the book, QQ" stuff. But i think his post was ok, because he only used it to say that the maker of the show concentrate on more action at the moment. So his main point was not the difference his main point was the direction of the show.

We knew that he owned brothels. That had been established since episode 3. And as I said, it also wouldn't be that bad if this storytelling technique had been used only once instead of multiple times.
About book discussion, a rule is a rule here. As we have seen earlier in this thread if you let it slip, it really slips.

I totally agree with this, there should be more pee/poo scenes and random other stuff like sneezing, coughing, burping etc. IT would make the show seem more authentic!

It would be even further enhanced if the characters could catch the flu or something similar and lie in bed for days!

no, it would just waste time.
instead of spending 10 minutes watching tyrion take a big dump and then have a sneezing fit, we could have been watching another character doing something meaningful. like theon being a perverted man whore, to increase his image of 'promiscuity'.
scenes of sex and violence also trigger something physiological in your brain, which feels good, the same can't be said for faeces, phlegm and vomit.
