She is one of the last pure Valyrians, country that is extinct, who conquered the seven kingdoms with the help of their Dragons. You can say that they are sometimes immune to fire. But the whole lore behind that is not really explained as far as I know. I think it was once said in the book that the Targaeryans always have 2 children. One is the insane one and the other one is the "awesome" one.
I think the quote you are referring to about the Targaeryrns was King Jaehaerys II said that with the birth of a new Targaryen the gods tossed a coin to decide whether the child would be great or mad.

i think it was said "It is said that when a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin. He will either be great, or mad."

I thought it was a fantastic episode, and what it lacked in action, it made up for in intriguing plot development. I like the added scene with Sansa, Septa Mordane and Joffrey as an extra scene of foreshadowing. The horse heart eating scene was gruesome as it should be, and the final crowning moment was fantastically choreographed. Harry Lloyd is amazing as a deranged Viserys. The only fault I can find with the show is some of the art direction and the lack of scale involved. Obviously HBO's budget is limited compared to movie producers, but I thought that the Dothraki scenes lacked grandeur, making Khal Drogo seem like a random horse lord rather than the "Tywin Lannister" of the Dothraki, the Khal of Khals (until the Stallion who Mounts the World).
Esme Bianco, who played Ros, is hot!
Drogo is just another Horselord, there are many more like him

oh shit they aired ep. 7 after 6 too?

So can someone just clarify this for me please, was episode 7 shown on TV at all or was it just shown on the net? I know it was shown on HBO GO but is that an actual TV channel or what?

So true. some mods are like girls. Don't even try to argue. You'll always lose. Just say the two words "i'm sorry" and forget about it.

Haha, I was going to say something about the *possibility* of melting gold in a campfire, but then re-watched it and noticed that not only was it not nearly hot enough to melt, but the molten gold was actually bubbling. Yeah, okay. Power of will. I wish I could tell temperature from eye sight as well.

Wow this show is really getting epic.

kinda scared of reading week 7 spoilers so I'm not reading the chat, sry if this has been mentioned.
I don't know which monolouge I like better, Ned's or Tyrion's.
Love the fight between + Show Spoiler +Bronn and Some Chump, and the expression on Catelyn's face as she realizes the knight is losing
The entire Tyrion storyline is absolute win
And I like how they accelerated certain storylines and slowed down others, it'll give the series more focus down the road.

He fled the city immediately after attacking Ned and killing his men. They didn't do a great job explaining it, but when you think about it, it's pretty obvious, considering his actions were enough to start a war.
