There is nowhere in the Millenium Falcon journey where you could just stick randomly a few weeks or months (you could argue that they stay a long time in the City of the Clouds but that doesn't make any sense either because Vader "was there before they arrived" and why would he hide for two months in that stinky mining colony before capturing them?)

However, his muscles have only 2.5*2.5=6.25 times the cross-sectional area, making him only 6.25 times stronger. Since his muscle force grows by one less dimension than his weight, he gets "weaker" in proportion to the magnification factor. Merely standing would feel like he has to carry a backpack that weighs more than his body weight, and moving his heavy arms would be like handling a dumbbell. On the other hand, making a man smaller would make him super agile and able to jump around like a grasshopper. Yes, this is why people get proportionally weaker over 6 ft tall and by the time they hit 7 ft, they're complete wimps rather than mountainous human beings that can push around normal human beings. It's also why midgets can jump around like grasshoppers. We'll just ignore everything we know about human beings of differing heights because clearly science disagrees.

It took the Millenium Falcon weeks or possibly months to reach the Cloud City from the asteroids because their primary hyperdrive was out. The time was simply edited out because watching people slowly make their way to the Cloud City is not exciting.

This season has two women randomly colliding with their mortal enemies: Arya and Merryn Trent can meet in Braavos and Brienne can meet Stannis in Winterfell. I think I could bet my money on at least one of those two men ending up dead. Brienne murdering Stannis would be particularly fascinating.

Totally forgot about that prick Merryn. It would be gratifying to see her stick a blade in his neck.

Holy moly what an amazing episode! The white walker scene was so intense! Really really well done. Best thing I've seen since Helms Deep.
This behind the scenes explains why it became so awesome
Also on a usefulness scale from Sansa to Tywin, Tommen scores 0.1 Sansas. Wtf is he doing.
I was also a bit scared walkerkingdude was going to frostbolt John to death when he raised his hands in the end lol.

That was an awesome behind the scenes, Such an epic scale for a TV series.
Random note, never understood how full grown adults don't know how to swim. Just seems to be putting a lot of faith in just avoiding situations and other people to save you.

wow that set is amazing! rip budget

i wonder if anyone has done the math on how much wine is consumed in the show. Seems like everyone is near drunk, can't be that much wine.

Fair enough, I could of been more specific. I don't get how people who go out on boats and have regular access to swimming pools never learn how to swim. Apparently there is a legit phobia of water that I suppose explains a bit, but then why/how the hell do they get on a boat.
Basically saying no way in hell I would do a scene like that without knowing how to swim.

So far there is no motivation for the White Walkers, no background, nothing. 5 seasons in. Is Summer coming for them? Why do they look like mortal kombat villains? Why let half the people go warn The Wall folk when they could have just swarmed over the cliff face from the start? Why could 2 guards shut the wooden gate with 30 people pouring through per second? Was it just to make the "massacre" something cool looking and ominous like Oh man what is happening? Does Jon Snow have a James Bond-Call of Duty Perk where villain throw him around and give him a chance?
Game of thrones S5 is such a set back. Its like Showtime took the reigns of Ice and Fire for Season 5.

Have you dozed off the first 5 seasons? There has been a ton of tales, hints, lore that mentioned the White Walkers.

It's the same in the books, except that they look more like Ice Elves.

Ive been wondering about the white walker attack on the wildling camp: Why didnt they have real defenses up and ready? Afaik they had a big wooden gate to keep them out. I mean surely they would have prepared some form of defense mechanism like a ring of fire or spiked barricades, right?
|
Bad leadership? Mance is dead and plenty of forces in history has lost due to bad or lack of planning.

Isn't a wooden wall pretty standard camp defense?

Spikes dont do much against the undead. Good luck making a ring of fire in the middle of a snow covered wasteland. Your going to need to use wood and that will be damp and useless for fires 99% of the time.
