If Wun Wun is 14-16 feet tall, he can hug the shore line in 3-4 feet of water and there's nothing the skellies can do to get to him.
|
I was expecting him to either swim or try to swim, fail, grab the boat and fuck everyone. Then he just casually walks by them. rekt

that water is probably freezing, i doubt even a giant would last that long in the water
|
he's about twice the size of a human, so maybe around 4 time the weight. I doubt a ship made to carry troops in full gear would have trouble carrying him
|
wasnt he like twice the height of a human while sitting down, i think he actually might be like 4 times the size of a human in height. He was able to squash skeletons under a foot.

He was able to squash skeletons under a foot. yeah that part was weird. Wiki says he is about 14 feet high, which translated into actual unit of measurment is about 4m, so two tall humans. So either the skeleton is really tiny, or they just sacrificed consistency for the coolness of the scene =)

Also: twice the hight isnt 4 times the weight, because he grows in three dimensions. so itm mor like 2³=8 times the weight

I think a camparison to the size difference between leopard and house cat is roughly appopriate here. The leopard is on average about 3 times as long (without tail) and 15 times as heavy as a normal cat (quick look at wikipedia). The giant seemed about 3 times as high as a man and was also thicker. So at least 15 times as heavy as a man would be my rough estimate here. Which is more than a metric ton.
edit: Or we can use BMI.
BMI = mass / (length*length)
I would estimate a BMI of 35 for the giant which is somewhat overweight and a length of 5.4 m (3 men).
So his weight would be 35 * 5.4 * 5.4 = 1020 kg.

we can round up the estimates to about a ton ( which would explain the massive size of his legs). Still, any reasonably-sized cargo ship can easily carry it

Its really hard not to cheer for peter dinklage especially after his acting in the trial during season 4 and the blackwater in season 3.
There are good men out there lets go and kill them.
|
i dont really know alot of dwarf actors or how good their acting is, but im willing to bet peter dinklage was the best choice ever hes so freaken good, definitely one of my favourites now

Such a good episode! But now its the time you realize there are 2 episodes left and you have to wait another year for the next season which sucks balls.

If you blow up a man of 80kg to 2.5 times the size, he weighs 2.5*2.5*2.5=15.625 times as much: 1250kg. However, his muscles have only 2.5*2.5=6.25 times the cross-sectional area, making him only 6.25 times stronger. Since his muscle force grows by one less dimension than his weight, he gets "weaker" in proportion to the magnification factor. Merely standing would feel like he has to carry a backpack that weighs more than his body weight, and moving his heavy arms would be like handling a dumbbell. On the other hand, making a man smaller would make him super agile and able to jump around like a grasshopper.

Considering we saw one lift, tho with difficulty, the outer gate of the Wall I think we can safely say a giant is more then 6x as strong as a human.

I think it's pretty predictable that if cersai goes to trial and can do trial by combat she will pick the mountain zombie

Does that apply to religious inquisitions? Because I don't see how the Sparrow could deal with a trial by combat for pretty much any of those he holds captive. Doesn't even have to be the Mountain zombie. Any kingsguard should be able to best whoever the Sparrow can call upon as champion.

Maybe the Sparrow is a wizard.

I have a feeling there is a religious warrior waiting in the wings somewhere, though Zombie Mountain doesn't sound like someone anyone would want to fight.
