it's LEAD farmer. land farmer doesnt make any fucking sense.
this movie was freaking awesome. tom cruise has been redeemed, rob downey is a talented acting god, and ben stiller has serious directing chops. i was laughing my ass off throughout much of the film and even the times where things werent funny, i could appreciate the sheer audacity of the comedy and creative vision it took to just go for broke.

.......probably not

This movie was the definition of average.
The laughs it produces were quite good, but I sat there for 3/4 of the movie wondering when something funny/interesting was going to happen.
6.5/10

haha i like this user review from amazon:
The name "booty sweat" and its use in Tropical Thunder is a reference to the 1994 movie "Fear of a Black Hat", where one of the rappers had a hit single called "booty juice", which itself was making fun of all the bizarre side projects in other industries that have been launched by successful musicians. So this drink is a marketing campaign for a spoof of a spoof of a marketing campaign. You need to be drinking this energy drink just to have the energy to fully appreciate it !

Tropic Thunder was an awesome satire of Hollywood, just like Zoolander was great to satirize the modeling scene.
How he made both movies was really artful, and both were really funny in multiple ways.

Even though it has Ben Stiller it sounds like it's pretty funny.
Guess Ill give it a try.

I loved it.

The concept makes it seem like such a low rate movie, as most the other movies with such crazy plots never pull it off right. All my friends say it is amazing though, as does most everyone here. Guess I'll have to go give it a shot~

whoops, typo. but yeah, downey was easily the best actor. he addressed oversensitivity about black identity pretty well. NAACP actually applauded his performance.

I just watched it twice.
Indeed, Tropic Thunder >>> Dark Knight.
Check out the fake movie sites online as well!

This movie makes me dislike Tom Cruise a little less.
