Yeah, well it's bound to be through Harry in the least, since she was there helping Tom out, which was obviously during the time of Harry. My point was rather, waiting for 15-20 years is pretty far fetched, so they better have a good explanation why she is coming *now*. I mean it must have something to do with Laguerta's death, I can't believe that shit will have no effect beyond Deb(well and eventually how Deb's storyline will crash into Dexter's).

I think whoever uploaded the episode first didn't have the "real" Showtime or something, because ads kept popping up saying things like "get the full showtime experience blahblah." I called a friend who has cable because it was pissing me off, and she said it wasn't censored or anything when she watched it on real TV.
Anyway, I thought the episode was kind of a mixed bag. I liked the psychiatrist, but the Deb stuff was really obnoxious and boring. It makes sense given what they've done to her as a character, but all the writing decisions that led up to her killing LaGuerta last season really bothered me, and now it's just like a constant reminder of how shitty that choice was.

Yeah I think it was a good episode over all, but the only thing I hated more then Deb in this episode was the cesoring. I've never seen this before in Dexter and if Debra can't say fuck any more she really lost everything. It's really annoying, I hope there is another version.

The episode i saw had no censoring so there's two versions.
Nice episode, neuropsychiatrist looks interesting, crazy Debra is hot but Quinn needs to die already.

I was a bit confused why dexter was so waay out of control this episode, it started out so fine but i guess its supposed to be because of deb missing in his life?
dunno.. i didnt have the impression that deb was particularly relevant for dexters stability. Just go kill someone and everything is fine... maybe it just went too fast for me from ideal world to chaos.
but apart from that i liked debra as a badass private investigator.
also i dont think "you cant kill me because of the code" is a bit out dated and a weak point. He has killed people that didnt fit the code before and moved quite far away from following the code diligently for quite some time. also in the end the first rule applies "dont get caught!"
so she only cant be killed as long as shes not a threat to reveal his secret and i wouldnt put too much trust in dexter following the code.

I bet the psychologist knows about Dexter because Harry asked her for advice on what to do after he noticed Dexter's psychopathic tendencies, hence why she has the drawings. She's probably the one who recommended the code in the first place, given her warped view that psychopaths are a gift to mankind.

Still the question remains, is she a psychopath herself? And who is the new serial killer that performed the surgery on this one guys brain?
Would maybe be a little too obvious if it was the British lady herself. But on the other hand this series rarely made a secret out of who the psycho is.

Quinn and the intern never truly knew who or what Dexter was, they just knew something was very off about him.

Just rewatched the scene in front of laguerta bench, Batista is directly looking at Dexter when he says "wanna do nothing but chase bad guys." May be a foreshadowing, the least expected twist would be Batista catching Dex I think Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Damn, very entertaining first episode. Shit's going down right from the start. Really liked the doctor lady, she seems to be quite an interesting character.

Angel's sister is way sexier than Deb! I like Quinn because he is only in the show to remove women's clothing. That's pretty much the extent of my feelings about episode one. On a sidenote, I did enjoy it.
