Being as non biased as you can. Is the ending of the series better thanany of the previous seasons? Just quote me so I can control F my name xD
I got bored of Dexter really quick this season... but if it has an epic ending I will watch it. I loved the endings from previous seasons (My 2 favorite probably being the Dead Reta ending and the Deb viewing one of Dexters kills). People here (like on diff pages) are comparing Dex's transformation to that of Walter White's in Breaking Bad. Lol I love watching dexter, but this show is no where even close to the insanity of Breaking Bad. That is on its own level. BB and Mad Men (for different reasons) are just spectacular. Shows like Dexter are just good entertainment.
With that in mind, yeah its a good finale. A solid one forsure if you enjoyed last seasons'. Not like the Rita one, but it does change things in Dex's life so its worth a watch.
I enjoyed it lol

It's hard to outdo the previous 2 seasons in being awful so it's ofc better than those two. Overall in season endings: 4 >>>>>>>>>>>> (I mean who honestly saw this ending coming? I sure didn't. Trinity was the shit!) 1 > 2 > 3 = 7 >who the hell cares ^_^ Yeah lol, I'll agree with that. The only reason I kept watching Dexter was because Season 4 got me pretty excited. Dexter has to do something pretty Spectacular to keep me interested now. If they have nothing special in store, I kind of hope Dexter dies with dignity next Season and just ends it. I'm not sure if everyone else is of the same opinion. If he didn't have Harrison I would have been fine with Deb shooting him there and then.

Hmm, not a bad final but still when it ended I felt like.."Well, wasn't there going to be anything more?" It left so much to be desired.
This really resolved nothing...There are still warrants on Deb's and Dex's phone gps to be tracked, Hannah is still out there, Deb hugged Laguerta after shooting her so there's got to be something left behind from that. And she was shot by a police issued weapon..They're gonna be in much more fuck next season than this one.

Oh definitely, I've said for awhile now that the show should have ended within 2 seasons from season 4. I just didn't have much faith that they still had enough material in the plot to make it a quality show. Looks like I was unfortunately right :/
I'm not going to spoil but the "shocker" this season feels several seasons too late as was the one last season. It all just feels very drawn-out with lame sideplots and repetitive kills by Dexter that are almost to the point of being comical in how casual he does it now.
I mean if you're going to do more character sideplots, FFS do one with Masuka ;;

+ Show Spoiler +I like it. Harry had always told Dexter that he could never involve Deb because she wouldn't understand and it would drive her away, also expose Dexter. When Dexter got revealed to Deb he kind of gloated to the apparition of Harry about how Harry was wrong ... Now it appears that the revelation of Dexter being a serial killer has destroyed Deb, just not in the obvious way that Harry foresaw and Dexter worried about.
I'm not overly worried about the forensic evidence from Deb's hug at the end. As pointed out that was ad-libbed and so they can either make something of it next season or completely ignore it, totally up to them. It wouldn't be the first time that forensics on TV suffered to make something work. Just look at CSI, well over a decade of completely unbelievable forensics on that show. Heh.
Edit: I will say that the casualness of Dexter doing what Dexter does this season is bizarre. He was always fairly careful and this season he's just like "Eh public park, lots of people around, whatever!" and does his thing.

to me deb is very suspect. why is the only person she told about hannah's visit is dexter?
|
Two positive things I take from this finale: 1) Hannah will be back :D 2) Maria DEAD! It was one of those fistpump moments like: - 24 S5-7 (dunno exactly) + Show Spoiler + - Walking dead S3 + Show Spoiler +

What exactly do you suspect her of?

I'd say that as a finale/episode on its own, it wasn't that great. But holy fuck, S8 is gonna be crazy.

her accident, if her goal was to take down hannah why wouldn't she mention that she was visited by hannah hours before to only dexter..

I kind of wish Deb had shot Dexter. I do not really need any more seasons, and it would have been preeeetty epic!

doesn't really tie up loose ends either way, the warrant would have shown she was an accomplice

Naw, he's had his chance to suspect Dexter many seasons ago. He's officially retired, and even if he wasn't, I think it's obvious enough that he and Masuka haven been written as feel-good prop characters for several seasons now, which makes them immune to anything relevant to the main plot. The only one who might go after Dexter next season is Matthews, but I kind of doubt it.

What? it still had a decent shot at killing deb, xanax works really quick so deb could of just drove off a cliff or bridge or something after she took a drink. I think hannah was desperate but didn't want to full on kill deb because it would of drove dexter away from her, so she didn't do her best work and was probably a bit overconfident. Next season dexter and deb better watch what they eat/touch lol.
Towards the end, they show Hannah leaving something at Dexter's door and walking away. She's a hunted fugitive wanted for murder, I don't think we're going to see her at all in season 8. She probably left a note in the plant that says something like "I love you Dexter, now I'm going somewhere far, far away where I can't hurt you or Deb, and all of my plot holes will be forgotten."
|
I'm happy that Hannah is alive/free although her escape was a bit... convinient. Overall, i thought it was a decent season. Not the best but certainly not the worst. Looking forward to season 8, hoping for good things.

Yeah, if it only takes a few minutes, it's much more likely she'll have some at home or immediately upon entering her car, in which case it's pretty unlikely she'll be anywhere particularly dangerous. Plus, she did it in the most obvious way possible, so it was basically GUARANTEED that Dexter would find out.

OH YEAH. Will be interesting to see how they cover this shit up.

I was disappointed when I found out Hannah was the one who poisoned her. I don't get it, she wouldn't have messed up the job to that degree...
Episode was fun, but really only just decent and no real surprises. I knew Deb would be the one to kill the Capt. as soon as it was obvious she had to die.

Ok that was a decent ending noting spectacular but it was pretty tense and the Doakes flashbacks were awesome.
Also i have to admit i fist pumped when Laguerta died.
P.D: I don't want to deal with another Quinn relationship plot during the last season. Just keep him as a random cop or get him out of the show pls.

YEAH!!! there might be brosissex next season!! HOPE LIVES!! =) =) =) =)
