As for the episode I actually thought Dexter was going to kill her up until she said the whole "Do what ya gotta do" line. She's the first person that's been on his table to have accepted that Dexter was about to kill them. (I could be wrong, Miguel might have been accepting) I mean what else was Dexter to do after he cut the plastic wrap? "Well, ummm here's your clothes."? Hell ya you hit that shit. Trinity. Did he? I guess I forget his death that season. Oh well. It's a very rare occurance. And c'mon, Yvonne Freaking Strahovski. He didn't stand a chance really.
Yeah actually Miguel was less than forgiving, he screamed ILL FUCKING KILL YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU *garble garble dead*

That old guy from last season (Tooth Fairy) was pretty accepting in the fact he was going to die. Hell, its like he WANTED to die. Too bad he died the way he didn't want to in the end.

I feel this season is way too predictable thus far... Seriously first scene we met her it was obvious she wasn't going anywhere for a while...

Miranda and Pullo, damn I <3 this shows casting

I mean, why bring in this interesting character and have multiple story lines connected to her just to have her suddenly killed off like that? Louis says Hi That took a while and he'd basically run his course, though. A major difference from a new love interest. Run his course? The guy didn't even get his running shoes on before they offed him. Mehh he had like a full season if not more(including the episodes he was in last season) Sure he didn't do a hell of a lot but they kind of wrote him into a corner where they couldn't do anything with him, unless they wanted to make him into a main nemesis for the season... But with the Ukrainian mob guy in the show this season that would have been way to much to fit in. The Ukranian mob guy didn't magically appear there. They wrote it. The show isn't a living organism, it's entirely written from the ground up by the writers. They didn't have to invent the Ukranian mob, they didn't have to write anything they didn't want to. The fact that they build up Louis for like a season, only to kill him off randomly, is just flat out terrible writing. Yes they obviously had to write in the mob guy. That being said I'm glad they did it like this, terrible writing or not. The Ukrainian mob guy is a WAYYY better nemesis then Louis would ever be. Louis was like a spoiled little egomaniac nerd not really much there to oppose Dexter. Ukrainian mob guy is pure fucking bad ass(Plus I like the actor playing him... Fucking boss Titus Pullo.)
You say that now but one day you're going to have a hot girlfriend and all these dreams about marrying her and shit and he's going to tell her she's getting fat in a club then take her home and she'll dump you for him. Then you won't be so 'ohh Titus Pullo what a fucking boss'.

Well I didn't much care for the sex scene part either, but when she's coming up from the table to kiss him....mmmmmmm

Well, Sal came and went quickly. And the obvious love triangle emerges. Deb really looks like she might end up killing Hannah.

I like it.... Plus the look on his face when he was on the phone at the end was fucking priceless.

I'll be mega pissed if Hannah dies. Fuck is she hot. She alone sold this season for me. Good episode so far, getting optimistic. On a side note, if anyones seen the picture from 4chan that spoils the entire season, its still accurate so far and DEF seems to be following in that trajectory, which also makes me think this season will end up pretty good.

Yvonne isn't dying until the end of the season maybe..

deb's actress has not aged well

I've been sort of disappointed in the last few episodes. Nearly every season has introduced some type of character that finds out Dexter's identity, but is able to understand him. That person is usually themselves dangerous. Dexter feels that he can open up to that character, but then that character soon dies. In the end, Harry (Dexter's inner self) was right and Dexter continues to follow the code. Why has Dexter not learned anything? Why is he overly meticulous one scene and completely irresponsible in another?
Isaac Sirko could easily get off on self-defense. If he mentioned Dexter to the cops, it would get Dexter in even more shit. It is most likely that Isaac is purposely withholding that information because he wants to deal with Dexter himself, but it isn't really shown very well. One of Dexter's concerns about having the police deal with Isaac was that it could link back to him. With Hannah, he knows she is dangerous. He has shown his face directly to her. The code says that the most important thing is to not get caught. But he doesn't kill her. Doesn't seem like the same Dexter we've known for the last seven seasons.
This season also doesn't really know how to pick an antagonist. The first antagonist was Debra, and she had Dexter on a tight leash for a few episodes, but now that's pretty much gone. Then they went to Wayne Randall, who wasn't really an antagonist but just another way to show Dexter there is no redemption for him. Louis is sort of a side antagonist but is taken care of by Isaac. Speaking of Isaac, there is the Koshka Brotherhood. Isaac makes a very interesting antagonist for Dexter but then he is arrested and the brotherhood plot is overshadowed by Hannah. Then the issue with Sal shows up, but that is dealt with in just about an episode.
Oh, and to keep this post in line with the rest of the thread, Yvonne is hot.

i love how they are practically apologizing for seasons 5 and 6 by giving us what lumen should have been and the ending that season 5 should have had. thank you!

Can't agree that they haven't shown Isaak's reasons for keeping schtum about Dexter. He has wanted to kill the guy who got Viktor since the beginning and once he found out it was Dexter he has been completely motivated to take him out and make him pay - the array of tools when he was waiting in his apartment, the story of his family and the fat little bureaucrat, the fact that despite the heat from the MPD he is refusing to go home and leave this to his brothers to deal with. This is obviously very personal and Isaak will not be doing anything to jeopardise his plans for Dexter. Not sure self-defense would have been a decent explanation for him either - how many visitors to the US have gun permits, and even if it checked out he would have been shipped home under guard pretty quickly.
It is a bit of a shame about Louis and Sal, though. I kinda feel like they could have been one and the same characters, and they popped off quickly. Agreed about him being pretty dumb when it comes to keeping himself secret, he seems to have a pathological need to open up to somebody, although it's just another sign of the emotive side that he doesn't realise he has.
