So, SO excited that Deb has finally caught Dexter in the act. NOTHING important happened in season 5, and season 6 was shaping up to be the same way. Something BIG has finally happened since Rita dying.
Next season is going to be so interesting.[
You really should consider using spoiler tags.
Sadly he's not the only one
Yeah precedent led me to believe it would be ok. Plus, this is a topic ABOUT the show lol. Every time an episode airs people come here to talk about it, what would the point of this topic be if we had to spoiler tag everything? If you're afraid of spoilers, don't come to this topic until you watch the finale...
Sometimes I don't get people. :S
Not everyone has had time to watch the finale yet. You may not 'get' why they come here but a spoiler tag is seriously 10 seconds of effort, can you not spare 10 seconds for a common courtesy?
Sometimes I don't get people. :S
If you don't want to get spoiled then do not come to the thread. I avoid the thread because I know people are talking about what just happened on the show. What the hell do you think you are going to read when you come into a thread after a new episode airs? THE EPISODE.
Yes it's dumb, and I'm not defending it. But it still takes less time to spoiler shit than it took you to make this post, so clearly you have the 10 seconds to spare to be considerate. Even if they sort of deserve it.
So, the season is finally over and Im not impressed at all. It felt like the side plots were cheap and never really important, Dexter didnt go and killed his usual share of bad people on the side, plus the new characters remained undeveloped and uninteresting (Including Travis, without Gellar he just wasnt up to par with Dexters usual counterparts) They wrote so much stuff in there which is only important for next season so it feels like this season hasnt had a nice wrap up. The hand in the box, Debs new (retarded) feelings, the intern, Batistas beef with quin and so much more just waiting to be picked up next season, which I hope will be alot better than this stupid waste of my time :[ ( just kidding, but only kind of )
I agree with this, especially the gellar-less travis being a bad villain. I think the s5 'villains' weren't really amazing either. On the other hand, with so many undeveloped sideplots going into s7 it's bound to have a bit more substance than s6 plotwise
Regardless, I don't think s6 was bad. It wasn't amazing like s1/4, but it wasn't horrible like s2/3 either.
edit: Come to think of it, the best seasons were pretty much defined by the amazing villains. A bit like the dark knight I guess. I hope they find a villain with character for s7, especially for atheists (like most of TL) it's hard to understand a religious villain like this season's.
people should try to have some self control and not visit the thread until they've seen the episode. i do it all the time.
That doesn't mean you can't spoiler shit, it takes 10 seconds for fuck's sake. Your writing that post took more than it would've taken to just spoiler your shit.

yes, personally. collectively, it is a gigantic waste of time in a thread whose only sake is to discuss a series, which has die hard fans and everyone knows exactly what goes on here on sundays. Considering the following and the amount of posters posting, one should expect to get spoilered throughout the thread. its an absurdity to come to this thread and expect otherwise.
It would be nice if everyone spoilered there shit, it would be a tremendous pain in the ass to read the thread, and it would also be nice to have world peace.

You'd think he'd have realised that one when he let Trinity kill a load of people including his wife but apparently not. And then he does the exact same shit again, ignoring the obvious phone call to Deb saying "send all police to the building, he has my son". Dexter repeatedly puts the people he professes to love in danger, he kills more people through inaction than any individual one of his victims does through action. The storywriters claim he's seen the lesson, he said "it was me" when Rita died but it's just not showing. Pisses me off.
Uhh if he calls the cops in this episode Harrison dies. The only thing that saved Harrison was Travis seeing that Dexter (the beast) was still alive meaning he wasn't supposed to kill Harrison yet.
There was a trained officer with a gun at the top of the building. If he was notified that Travis was on his way then lift doors open, guy shoots, GG.
Dexter claims to have all these intense feelings for these people and yet he deliberately exposes them to serial killers to feed his obsession and would rather they die than risk getting caught.

You've already wasted more time being a prick about it than you would have wasted on spoilers. Grats on wanting to drive your point home though, you really are all about the 'time efficiency' aren't you.
And I agree, world peace is a completely good analogy. Totally not anything blown out of proportion.
(DONT STICK YOUR DICK IN CRAZY HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS)
That's retarded.
You'll miss out on some amazing experiences.
Like her locking you up in a burning building with your stepchildren? I'll pass.
Obviously there's the crazy-hot scale but the way she openly displayed kleptomania towards dexter in the first episode definitely puts her on the crazy side of the line.
My only problem with the finale was the begining. Why the hell would police wait for dexter to get there before searching the crime scene. When have they ever waited for dexter. In seasons one and two doakes would always shit on dexter for being late to a crime scene but now since their is a painting of dexter everyone is going to wait for dexter???????
I think it's annoying to click spoiler tags while reading the topic and I think people who care about spoilers in a topic about the show are also annoying.
Someone else already gave a warning but please stop talking about it. If you open a topic about a show when you haven't seen the last episode, you get spoiled, period.

This whole season was full of deus ex machinas. Like the boat randomly passing by as Dexter starts to drown for example. Bad writing to be honest.
I decided ages ago that if this didn't happen I wouldn't watch season seven, and the fact that they weren't constantly promising to out Dexter like last season did give me hope so I'm more relieved than surprised.
Did anyone else think putting a cop by himself was kind of PIS? Or are there just too many skyscrapers in Miami?

Let's guess Debra's first line of the next season! "Holy fucking shit what the fuck Dexter?"

We should make bets on that lol.
