Meh, I'm going to have to agree that it was one of my least favorite episodes of the season.
+ Show Spoiler +The plot kind of dragged, not much happened for the first 50+ minutes, everything was very predictable. It was obvious the whole time that Nick was the killer, and I guess I didn't really care whether Dexter forgived him or not, until he started laughing at Sam's death. The only interesting points were the 20-second clip where Travis frees the girl, and the 5-second clip where Dexter's brother reappears. Perhaps it's leading to an interesting episode, but not a successful episode in itself.

Thank god Brother Sam is dead. He was turning Dexter into a complete bitch.

kinda loving the portrayal of a wolf hiding under sheep skin in gellar and the portrayal of brother sam as the opposite. then you have a guy in the middle of that, gellar's student who's geniunely a good person but because of that manipulated and finally starts to realize alot of gellar's teachings is contradictory to what he knows or understands as good.
also love how it was the final nail in the coffin for the fork in the road that dexter had to fight in his moral dilemma. by going against sam's dying wish his brother appeared as his imaginary friend rather than his dad. so now we have a rampant evil dexter running around.
|
Overall, great episode. The one part I didn't like was when + Show Spoiler +Nick confessed, and then started laughing and saying that he's going to be fine. It seemed unrealistic and forced to me.

My favorite episode this season. Really looking forward to the next episode

Yesssss, thank fuck, dexter didn't turn good. This season has REDEEMED itself.

Guess Dexter despite brother's Sam wishes, chose to embrace his dark passenger, even more than before. Hence the Brian appearance in his conscience. Like a metaphor for Dexter giving up on his light? :/
edit:: and lol at Dexter's facial expressions to murder his ass when Nick started laughing at the end , priceless ^_^.

The doctor never said Sam was dead. Dexter assumed this. I think Sam is alive and will find out about Nick and will confront Dexter about the shit. Also I love the Rudy character; I'm really happy he's back for now :D.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Gellar IS Travis now, after seeing him meet his sister at the school and she tells the kids that he's a very talented painter. Gellar is always painting.

I dunno, it's still too co-incidental from a writers point of view. The ice-truck killer hand gets sold by an intern to... someone? (the identity of which the new intern could have helped cover up, masuka never actually asked the auction site who bought it, he just asked to have it removed...) and now he's seemingly going to get closer to Batista's sister and in turn Dex. And now Brian is in Dexter's head? There's gotta be some tie there with Brian and the hand that will result in Dex facing this past demon in a future episode.
And like you said, it seems like they are all inconsequential... Which just screams to me that they are incredibly important.

I thought exactly the same!
Episode itself was a bit mehhh in my opinion. Also he murdered something in the open on a beach, witnesses anyone? He just raged and went for it, maybe there will be a witness who drives dexter in a hard spot?

100% chance imo. Totally looks that way, good times !
Also does anyone else think maybe Anderson or Masuka's new intern will be the "next" person to be suspicious of Dexter or whatever like the guy from S1 that fucking hated him?
LOVING THIS SEASON!

You mean doaks? I don't think an intern will suspect him in that way, I do think one of the interns has a sick mind too and might get to know the secret of dexter ( before dexter feeds him or her to the. Fishes )

No one has theorized the blood in the fridge part yet?
|
At first I assumed that it was going to be a prop for one of the doomsday killings, but now that I'm thinking of it harder, that would be incredibly asinine, since it would be handing over his own DNA in a crimescene. Unless of course that's part of the plan. To make it look like Travis was killed or something. I dunno, I don't really have any bright ideas on it.

Either way there isnt much left in Revelations after whore of babylon. Possible spoilers regarding the fridge blood. + Show Spoiler + And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
