I don't care if it IS the plot twist I hope Dexter doesn't play us as an unintelligent audience. Like when Dexter was following in the market and Gellar was looking through things and hands physical stuff to his assistant. Dumb or not a good theory. After how everything played out up to this point, I think it'd be disappointing (even a plot flaw) if he does in fact turn to be real. Especially based on the way a wanted man with his face in the newspaper acts at the market. "Pay the lady", LoL. Honestly, from this point forward, he's either a manifest of Travis' imagination, -or-, if he is real, the writers were throwing clues around to deliberately mess with the audience.

+ Show Spoiler + I can't believe Jonah and Brian are coming back in he same episode (although one is dead). Right now im trying to work out how Jonah got the information on Trinity, if i remember right Dexter specifically shielded the family because of the way he felt towards his own family. Also, i guess Harry is gone for awhile.

1) Dexter didn't actually stick around to hear the doctors say Brother Sam died. He saw them talking to the gathered people, then left to find Nick. Maybe he just lapsed back into a coma, and will confront Dexter later? 2) The appearance of his brother makes me think that something's changed in how he looks at his dark passenger. Like, before he viewed it as something bad that he could use for the "force of good", but not really like it. Now, he seems to have not only accepted it, but thinks that he can't do anything about it. 3) Travis... + Show Spoiler + let the girl go

Good god this show is really ramping it up! yeah, seems like Harry was the only "light" in Dexter. Now he has joined the dark side of the force, manifesting in his cool Bro! EDIT: Haven't thought about the imaginary thing, til now. TYVM TL for possible spoiler ;D It would have been more awesome if it was some "primal fear" kind of deal

But as much as I liked that scene, the Nick one was even better. It had a great set-up and payoff on many many levels. For instance, the location. They're at the beach where Brother Sam baptized Nick. The bare core of the two scenes is the same, Nick is at the beach and he's having his head dunked under water. But everything else is a 180 juxtaposition. When he's being baptized, it's during the day, it's bright out. When he's being murdered, it's at night. His baptism happens in front of friends and family. His murder is all alone with Dexter. The baptism is about being forgiven and reborn. The murder is about revenge/punishment and death. Brother Sam was his angel of salvation, Dexter was his angel of death. Then you have the whole internal conflict of Dexter, where Brother Sam's wishes for Dexter to forgive Nick are actually fighting with Dexter's primal urge to kill (coupled with a perfect target who is completely deserving). Sam got through to Dexter in a way that no one else has before and for the first time we see a chance for Dexter to start getting over the whole, I'm-a-monster-who-has-to-kill-people thing. He exposes Dexter to the idea of forgiveness and even has Dexter toying with it before Nick exposes himself as unrepentant. Once the injustice of it all hits, Dexter snaps back from his road to salvation and is hurtled back into the abyss, possibly to a whole new level that we've never seen before with his Brother seemingly taking over Harry's role in Dex's inner monologue. I'm just so excited, I really love where this is going with Dexter's character arc. I'm wondering if Harry will be completely replaced by Brian for the time being or if they're going to use them together to show Dexter's inner conflict. Both options have potential, so I don't care much one way or the other. Travis letting the girl go is also very very interesting stuff. I'm 100% sure Geller isn't real now and I think this decision by Travis is fascinating because it's going to drive a wedge between his two personalities, which is potentially very very interesting, especially as a juxtaposition with the fucked up state that Dexter's currently in. On November 07 2011 20:11 Sfydjklm wrote: i bet debra fucks the psychatrist also lol, I was getting that vibe too. and seriously guys. WHAT THE FUCK IS ANDERSON DOING ON THIS SHOW? just feels like a goddamn waste of screen time right now. I need whatever his sideplot is going to be to start developing because right now I just don't give a fuck about the character or anything he does. and Quinn. hmm, I dunno what they're doing with Quinn anymore. I'm actually interested to see what they're gonna do with him right now because he's such a fucking wreck. This is probably the first point in the show where I've given a fuck about what's going on with him. I'm intrigued to see if they're working towards a salvation angle or a self-destruction angle with his side plot. + Show Spoiler + As it is right now though, with everyone saying Jonah (Trinity's son) is in the next episode, I'm thinking that they're going to have Jonah come to Quinn about Dexter being "Kyle Butler," which will set Quinn on Dexter's ass, which in his current state will either have Dexter killing Quinn or using Quinn as the potential victim that Dexter turns back around on towards the end of the season (I'm assuming that Dexter's character arc will come back around to no Brian by the end of the season and I think that'll happen with letting off a potential victim, possibly Quinn). uhg, I hope they don't do anything with Jamie's character. really don't like her, I'd hate for her to be a recurring love interest or well, anything more than what she already is on the show.

The only hope I have is that the new guy catches wind of Dexter, which he pretty much is guaranteed to do since they've established him as the only competent cop in Miami by now, so that they don't need to keep saturating the show with these Deb/Batista/entirely unimportant cop politics plots to fill the time because of how shitty the main villains are.

I got the same vibe too but then again, I also felt that it would happen between Deb and Anderson (turns out he's married orz) so I'm not too sure that that's the angle they're going to take

Oh and deb is totally going gay. Never loved quinn, had a serial killer propose to her... I expect the black Guy to come on to her super romantically and she turns him down, that's when she will realise.... that's also why he was written in. There simply aren't any alpha males like him that she could get interested in around. He seems straight as an arrow anyway. I'd be highly suprised if he was a bad Guy (he could do some manouvering to get Debs job though. I'd be surprised if she's still in charge next season. If there is one.) PS apologies for grammar. On the phone :/

And I'm 99.999% sure the theories are correct. + Show Spoiler + The reason his former TA/girlfriend is so incredulous about Geller being the Doomsday killer is because Geller was probably a complete non-fundie, just a religious scholar who found Revelation prophecy intriguing, and was into the artistic symbolism of it all. Travis is almost surely a schizophrenic who read Geller's writings and thought they were real. He contacted him, to tell him he understands the end times crap, and went ballistic when Geller tried to tell him he was nuts, when the primary enabler of his delusions treated him as crazy. Boom, he kills Geller with the Roman spear, and disposes of the body. His mind then creates a fake Geller who lives up to his paranoid delusions about the end of the world, and propels him to act the story out. Notice how Travis claimed to not have killed anyone, that he couldn't bring himself to do it. In the first episode, Travis clearly kills the fruit vendor himself, as Geller is nowhere near him when he walks up to him with the Roman spear thing. Add to that Geller walking around with impunity, not having a place setting, not being asked if he wants coffee, knowing everything Travis did, showing up outside his bedroom while he's having sex, making him purchase the red shawl, etc.

I highly doubt that. Both of them seemed to be snooping around Dexter-related things. I think the blondie was a red herring, but the game designer guy is definitely suspect. Maybe a PI hired by Trinity's kid, considering his somewhat inexplicable skills at making things on the Internet go away. Hell, the game designer and blondie might be working together, earning Masuka's trust by exploiting his lechery to get him into trouble (losing evidence) and then getting him out of it (by magically making that problem go away). The ebay thing was likely a setup, as was the anonymous tip about it being on there.
