It make's it much more convincing. The only thing that pokes air in it for me is that Geller keeps going off and doing "plans". Which either means he does alot of prep work while hes not aware (plasuable) or they really are two people.

Well Gellar can not be imaginary or another personality. As he has had his picture on the newspaper, and he had a relationship with that chick Quin fucked, and that was some time ago. Also Dexter has confronted Travis. So that makes it clear that both persons actually do exist.

You may want to go back and read a few pages about the theory. These reasons have already been stated and the theory still holds.

What I don't get is that Gellar dude walking around in plain sight even after his picture was published in the paper. Its pretty stupid I feel. And now the trinity killer is back? psshh

Ill restate the current theory.
Gellar was a professor, our boy travis was probably a student or was acquainted with him. Travis really took gellars theories to heart and at some point either gellar died or disappeared, travis started to manifest him as a personality, a split personality beyond what dexter does with his father. Gellar isn't actually there he just commands and takes over travis when travis is unable to do somethign himself. Hence why no one recognizes him and that he never interacts with anyone besides travis. As in when they're at the diner he doesnt have a place setting, he never buys anything, or that the tied up girl, or any of the people they kidnap ever acknowledge another person in the room with them.

And also like someone said last page, Travis's sister claimed him to be a good painter

+ Show Spoiler +They have drawn a parallel between Dexter and the main killer in multiple seasons, but I've enjoyed it each time. Each season has ended with Dexter going a separate way than the other killer so I'm predicting Dexter will end this season with forgiving somebody who could've ended up on his table while Travis will give in and go back to his doomsday killings. Jonah seems like a good candidate for Dexter's forgiveness.
I think this episode further supports the "Travis is imagining Gellar theory." The good artist line, Gellar in a crowded flea market and I'm thinking Dexter might have another near-miss chance of "seeing" Gellar in future episodes.
Lastly, I had thought from the initial episode that Angel's sister had some sort of crush on Dexter but it looks like that won't play out at all. I'm also wondering if Matsuka's first assistant will make another appearance. Maybe the writers were just trolling us with her interest in the Bay Harbor Butcher and the Ice Truck Killer cases.

I'm confused, when did trinity's son show up? I didn't see him.
|
I don't think he did, but during the "On the next episode" during the credits. You can very clearly hear Deb say, "The Trinity Killer is back." Or something along thoses lines.

Concerning the Gellar theory... mind fucking blown. I will be watching with more vigor now!

Yeah, this was a great episode. Loving the complexity.

Did Mosdef decided to leave the show?
|
For sure one of the best episodes in a long long time.

Oh. My. Word. That was an amazing episode, and it looks like it will continue to grow on this. I do hope brother sam's message is not totally lost. It would have been a waste of a great character and actor (mosdef played his part very well). If Dexter just goes the opposite way then Sam would have been just a time filler.
I cant wait for next week ... I hope i can put skyrim down for an hour to watch it ;o

No. + Show Spoiler +I think it was intended for him to die. So, that Dexter's dark passenger can be brought about.

Finally, Dexter is getting as good as the trinity killer season. I can't wait to see what type of advice his brother gives him. I'm happy we get to see that character more since I loved him in the first season and was kind of hoping Dexter wouldn't kill him.

Good episode, I'm glad Dexter went nuts at the end, looks like the start of a truly crazy killing spree coming up with his brother now being his "guide" instead of Harry. I didn't see the preview until just now when someone mentioned Trinity but wooooow that looks like it's going to be amazing. Can't wait for the next few episodes, could get crazy.
On the other hand I wish something would just happen already with the Doomsday story, it's getting really old really quick. I don't much like Travis' character and I really hope it turns out that he is just imagining Gellar.
