Anyway, in episode 2 when Dexter kills the quarter back, he screws up. When the guy is missing for a few days, its gonna get reported, police are sure to check his phone records. they will see the message from the chick, who will say she lost her phone while giving Dex a BJ... they never even showed him wiping his prints off the phone or anything. At the very least the cops will know it was someone at that party who killed him.. very sloppy by Dexter IMO OK, first of all, it's episode 1. Second of all, that's FAR from the only loose end that's ever been left in Dexter for him cleaning up his mess throughout the course of the series. I could go into others but it's not worth it, just look at nearly any of his kills and tell me where it shows him cleanly fixing everything up such that he'll never get caught. As viewers, we accept that they don't need to show us everything to know that Dexter has taken care of it (like, wiping prints and planting the phone back on BJ chick). Thirdly, no wife, no kids, only people who would report him missing are his coworkers. Missing persons reports where it's a guy with no family probably aren't going to get a crazy big police investigation. It's a lot more likely that he just skipped town than he got murdered, if he even gets reported at all. Even then, no body, no murder weapon, no evidence of him even being killed.

Anyone one else pumped for the new episode tonight?

I'm so pumped! I want it nowwwwww....

Holy crap that ending. This season is finally starting to pick up.

just as dexter had a potential hope to turn good, he avoided the dying wish of brother sam and killed him. kinda fucked up on the fork in the road but hell that makes for a better season. obviously something snapped in dexter and clearly not for the good since usually his imaginary father comes up and councils him about what he thinks he did is right or wrong and now it's his brother supporting his killing.
travis is actually learning that he's being manipulated and the fact he's doing the exact opposite of what he's been taught also is pretty interesting. would like to see how gellar reacts to this.

Dexter is one of the best series on television to date in my opinion. If you haven't seen this series it is one that will keep you on your seat every episode. It puts a nice twist on what a serial killer can be, and how most behave. Also check out the books for those who have seen it! Puts a lot of detail into what Dexter calls his "Dark Passenger" and other details of the story.

That might have been the best episode this season, imo. I knew it would have been too big of a change for him to just become a good forgiving person, but damn. I wonder if his brother is the "devil on his shoulder" now.

OMG
dat ending, did NOT see that coming!

+ Show Spoiler +The fact they are bringing back Trinity's son is kinda interesting. I like the idea a lot and look forward to next weeks episode. Also, that ending. Hooolllyyyyy shiittttttt.

+ Show Spoiler +I think Dexter's dad is going to be gone for awhile. I don't think Dexter has ever killed someone out of anger like he did at the end of the episode. Which would explain the sudden change in his Dark Messanger.

+ Show Spoiler +What was that one guy in the random public bathroom a season or so ago? I don't remember if it was self defense or anger...

that was a preety crazy episode i must say. + Show Spoiler +Im actually really happy the way it turned out, that Nick guy was a real dick, and didnt deserve to live. As for dex's brother showing up, seems like it will be him talking to dexter the rest of the season or something, still wondering whats going on with that. And Quinn is severely fucked in the head, that guy needs a life lesson if you ask me. O and @Cixah, im not positive on this, cuz its been a few years, but didnt dexter kill dokes because of anger or something, i mean, dokes was on the trail to revealing dexter and dexter killed him. Food for Thought!

Food for Thought! + Show Spoiler + No he couldn't bring himself to kill doakes, and in the end his crazy lover killed doakes. The switch to his brother instead of his father is brilliant. Its a metaphor of his code breaking down. His father was his guide giving him purpose to his kills, but also one of hope that things could get better for dexter. his brother on the other hand represents him killing for the sake of killing, I foresee we're really going to see dexter take a turn for the worse and may eventually open up to the idea of killing people outside his code, or at the very least will struggle internally with those dialogues.

+ Show Spoiler +I think it was more of an anger killing simply because Dexter had already begun walking Sam's Path towards letting go. Only after hearing Nick laughing to himself and talkking about how he's going to get away scott free did Dexter mean to end him. While I agree, Dexter is very calculated he didn't even try and take his blood in this. It was just straight up a drowning, not like the rest of Dexter's 'MO'. I don't recall him ever doing a killing without doing his ritual first. Which led me to the conclusion that he had killed him out of sheer rage. It also lets me explain nicely why his passenger suddenly changed.

Good to see Brian again, he was a great character. Damn, I'm actually really pumped about this season now.

man anyone notice when Travis went to see his sister she remarked that he was a "very good painter" Gellar was seen painting really well, this imaginary Gellar theory might hold up...
