I highly doubt that. Both of them seemed to be snooping around Dexter-related things. I think the blondie was a red herring, but the game designer guy is definitely suspect. Maybe a PI hired by Trinity's kid, considering his somewhat inexplicable skills at making things on the Internet go away. Hell, the game designer and blondie might be working together, earning Masuka's trust by exploiting his lechery to get him into trouble (losing evidence) and then getting him out of it (by magically making that problem go away). The ebay thing was likely a setup, as was the anonymous tip about it being on there. fwiw, I hope you're right that they're leading up to something, but I'm just not getting that vibe.

On a side note to all the cool shit thats been happening im actually thinking that the new intern is the one who bought the hand.
Not sure how this is going to play into things yet, but his interest in Dexter is probably going to have him end up discovering some dirty stuff.
Either that or hes just the creator of the "Slice of Life" facebook game

I don't care if it IS the plot twist I hope Dexter doesn't play us as an unintelligent audience. Like when Dexter was following in the market and Gellar was looking through things and hands physical stuff to his assistant. Dumb or not a good theory.
He didn't really interact with anyone, the things he was moving could be moved just in his apprentice's imagination. To the outside world those things weren't moving. I agree with the post under yours. Gellar turning up to be real would be more a bit disappointing. Also the next episode seems really really badass.

next ep will be the strangest dexter episode ever lol

dexter just keeps getting better and better, very good episode, amazing. Feel bad for brother sam, really like his character. A whole new dexter starting from next episode!
|
What a great episode. This season is looking to be the 2nd best so far.
|
i very much like that his brother will probably replace his dad as his conscience, at least for some time. his dad was really getting boring.
however, i find it kinda hard to imagine gellar is travis' imagination. on the one hand, we never saw gellar in fact doing the crime (at least i dont remember it), for example he just pushed travis' leg down in the car, but travis was the driver, but on the other hand ... why would gellar be on the newspaper?
also gellar doesnt make much sense as a counterpart to dexter's dad/brother, because dexter is always aware he is not real, while travis isnt even a bit.

but he's totally fucked morally if it turns out to persist. harry whispering in your ear ----> brian whispering in your ear? bad news bears man
|
His dad was always boring. Way too predictable in when he shows up and what he says.

What's with all this hate towards Quinn? I didn't like him the previous seasons because he seemed like another Doakes (being suspicious about Dexter), but this season he has gotten a lot better. The man was deeply in love with Deb so obviously he's going to go through an emotional break down. Quinn and Angel make an awesome duo, they seem to be the shows new form of comedic relief.

I feel like something is going to happen to travis' sister that turns him back to the dark side, maybe with the trinity killer impersonator. And afterwards, something will happen that turns dexter back to the good side.

This is getting a lot better and fast!

So fucking stoked for the next episode. Brian was my favorite character beside dex, oh man this is gunna be good.

Seriously, that was such an amazing ending to that episode. I fucking love the throw-back. Instead of Harry, he now has Brian as the voice in his head, things are gonna get nuts.

Pretty good episode overall. Had the Dexter vibe that's been missing recently.
About the girl : I see her as dead... I think it's meant to show Travis' split personality and I think it's plausible he "switched" and killed her off screen pretty much right after. The previews are always misleading to a certain extent so I'm not sold on him letting her go so easily. "Geller" will have taken her back or something similar.
Previews stuff : What I DO hate is Trinity's son in the preview. A random smirk when he greets Dexter with the same line Trinity used before... what? So the next killer is the equivalent of a stupid teenager? He was a decent character in season 4... it's a shame the writers pulled something that lame. I guess he's going to try to frame Dexter or something like that. Season 5 was the chance to use him as a story (not as a killer, but either a depressed kid from the realization of his dad being a serial killer or as a witness of Kyle Butler...) so I don't like it. I hope it leads to a dire situation for Dexter at the very least.
On the other hand, imaginary Brian's dialogue makes me wants the next episode right now! Pretty eager.

I don't think Travis is going to end up as a good guy either, but I disagree with your Dexter back on the "good killer side". I want him to get in serious trouble; people finding out, people having evidence, etc. I want a final season where he's on trial or on the run or something. To be honest, I don't want him to get killed. I want to watch the series unfold if he gets caught as a killer.

I have no idea why I continue to watch every new episode, the show's gone on life support because it still manages to remain popular because of how cool of a character Dexter used to be, but in reality at this point it's just another mass produced TV drama with 0 new ideas. Might as well be watching CSI.
The only hope I have is that the new guy catches wind of Dexter, which he pretty much is guaranteed to do since they've established him as the only competent cop in Miami by now, so that they don't need to keep saturating the show with these Deb/Batista/entirely unimportant cop politics plots to fill the time because of how shitty the main villains are. I completely disagree with you. This season is one of the best if not the best one so far.
