I won't condemn her for her poor decision making. She's an emotional mess. These are the three most influential people in her life and she thinks she can at the very least do something about one of them. She is trying to find solace in anything. But who is she kidding with this confession of lies? (There may be some half truths in it but whatever.)
It's probably gonna digress into typical shounen junk about believing in Naruto that he can return Sasuke and Sakura not giving up on both of them. Blah blah blah!
In any event, I expect Sakura crying next chapter. 1000% chance of it happening.
As for the chapter as a whole, I think Kishimoto is juggling way too many things at once. NaruSaku, Kisame/Bee, Danzo/Fu/Ao, and the Alliance. I just found it weird that Sakura and everybody found Naruto in the span of like two chapters. I didn't expect them to find last chapter. If they were still traveling, it would've at least made the manga more focused than having all these things happening simultaneously. Although I did find Fu who seems like Yamanaka (Ino) clan with a pretty cool technique and basically Ao is fucked.
Thats just an amazing analysis Teallurker although i never try to think about stuff in the manga further than what is shown ^^;

what the fuck did I just read.
page 15 was bullshit, no, wait the whole chapter was bullshit, and the only thing worth reading was Naruto's last line.
|
yeah, usually I don't see a problem with Naruto chapters but this was kinda...unnecessary.
|
Teallurker really hit it on the head imo. Good analysis of sakura and looking at it that way it does make more sense.
|
wow this chapter was plain bad. So hyped for the kisame/bee battle by last chapter's ending and then he went to introduce two more storyline in, not that the danzo thing was not expected but seriously, why sakura.
|
anything else worth discussing in this chap? Fuu's jutsu is kinda like Captain Ginyu... (resemblance of Dbz again) except wtf, you cant hit it!? how imba is that.
|
Sakura is underestimating Naruto's intentions for thinking it's just a white knight attitude at stake here. Naruto blames himself, much like Jiraiya has blamed himself for Orochimaru. Sakura's trying to be nice, but I'd like to believe Sakura has more to reveal other than this fake love confession. I figured that she's a better character after the Sasori fight and not just another wallflower crybaby like Ino.

Yeah, it makes sense, but did it really need 18 pages? Very out of place with the other plots. But I guess Kishimoto is a mangaka and not a super-literary gosu writer. As long as the Kisame-Bee fight is good.

A super-"literary" gosu writer would have a lot more than 18 pages on character development. In fact the whole thing would be set in some sleepy midwest college town, involve sad and pathetic protagonists that blame everyone else for their innui/issues, and the plot would be nearly nonexistent with an emphasis on "lush prose" and the art of the written word. Literary tries to market itself as character-driven but it's really not. It's just uncreative, pretentious drivel written by MFA kids. Of course, there are exceptions to this stereotype, but they are as rare as a mangaka who can do good characters right?

Naruto is a good story overall (distinct heroes and villains, general good and bad guys, not to forget the ever so reluctant neutral that rally to whoever will benefit them the most).
However, there is so much, TOO MUCH, filler, showing old stuff again and again, just make the freaking thing shorter if you dont come up with anything else to draw for the week jeez. I'm kinda annoyed at these side stories that are depicted in 5/18 slides with nothing but (...) chat bubbles or 0_0 or watever "face" he comes up with, at this point they dont serve any purpose. I guess we'll have to endure slow weeks for a while...I know I will be watching the anime/manga as soon as its released every week ;/

I don't think Naruto ever got back to her.
The most important question still stands:
WILL ROCK LEE DO ANYTHING AMAZING IN BEFORE THE SERIES ENDS?
Seriously, one moment she confesses and Naruto is like O_O, and the following chapters it is never mentionned again. Kiba's expression was the best though, if you look closely he looks disgusted or something like that.
Ya srsly wtf mang.

Agreed.

Meh, very little development imo :/

No offense meant, but I think that the conclusions you came to were pretty obvious (as many conclusions about Naruto are, considering the 'depth' of this series). You presented them inductively and in an organized manner though, which made it look nice.

lol Killer Bee almost killed Kisame with a pencil

It's just that I tend to forget what happens in the course of a weekly series that's been around for ten years. I think it's easy to just restate neatly.

Yea xP I don't like how many times even the manga went on side things that were sometimes good sometimes not... I wanted it to move faster after the second Sasuke vs. Naruto battle but it just kept going slowerrr and sloooweerrr T_T;

Whats the truth Sakura really wants to tell Naruto? Kiba mentioned about telling him but Sakura stepped on his foot and then ran off..

That Sasuke's been ordered to death by pretty much the entire ninja world including his village.
