At first I thought that galaxy looking thing wasn't really a galaxy, but energy spiraling around Goku that kinda resembled a galaxy...but then I noticed.. The decision to change background was very deliberate. If you watch any of the last 5 episodes there are stars now. Stars in the world OF VOID.
