I saw some previews for the content of the upcoming episodes along with the schedule (fuck those break weeks) and it's probably gonna get more convoluted.
Which is not a good thing. DBZ was quite simple but that didn't really hurt it.

The Cell arc was probably the most convoluted. Which is just another way of saying that Future Trunks brings convoluted problems back to the past with him, lol.

I am still wondering that as well, if it only needs to be 2 years for him to get the 2 wishes, then it should only be +2 years from the present and he starts wreaking havoc on the world/universe starting from universe 10 as universe 10 doesn't have a kaioshin or a god of destruction anymore if gowasu did die to push through with his plans.
If he did just so happen to pickup the timering that leads into future trunks timeline, he could be in any age/year starting with androids arc already when it was created. But it did state that Black was destroying life in other planets as well so it might have took him some time (+/- 2 years) after the said babidee battle with trunks for him to eventually reach earth?
Also, Does Zuno only exist in Universe 7 or are we talking about a Universe 10 Zuno? If it is universe 7, then how did Zamasu manage to jump between universe, doesn't he lack that ability for now til he become a full kaioshin?
But this was also the first clarification that apparently the Super Dragon Balls only exist in Universe 6/7 pairing, not in the other universe pairs? I thought every universe pair had their own version of Super Dragon Balls but now only limited to 6/7. Universe 6/7 is really getting all the action it seems. hehe!

He's just going to skip into the future with the time ring to get the Super Dragon Balls.
Kaioshin can teleport between universes easily enough.
Zuno is probably unique to Universe 7.
He probably came after the Buu arc because that would be when Beerus would be gone. In Trunks' timeline the Kaioshin dies, so so does Beerus.

Don't start watching it if you liked db and dbz. dbz was a good ending and there should never have been more story.
Now that i already started with super i kinda have to end it though (yes i don't actually HAVE TO, but that's kinda how i roll -.-)
But yeah super is clearly the worst form of dragon ball of the three official ones imo

I think it's pretty good. It a lot better than GT and a lot better than the shitty-sex-joke-filled start of DB, and is on par with the average/good parts of both series.

I agree. I am really enjoying Super personally. A few annoyances, but I have those with Z and dragonball as well. I hope Super goes on for a long time.

I hadn't watched DBZ in 10+ years, but I saw this thread and got inspired to find a replacement for the complete ass that my kids have been watching (I may shoot myself if I ever see another episode of Princess Sofia the First). So I got the blurays and the kids love them. We are into the Frieza Saga now. The pacing is a little slow for my tastes, but the kids don't mind.

The first few times through the pacing never bothered me.
Now I'm a wee bit older and a wee bit busier, so I appreciate the streamlined (and more consistent with Japanese) Kai version of DBZ. It's ever so slightly cleaner than the original.

Dragon Ball Super just got interesting again, the whole intergalactic Budokai was kinda meh...

If Gowasu gets killed (seems likely) it will make me really sad, he's such a nice character. Maybe he'll be just aureola dead...

It's gonna be like in DBZ when Old Kai died to give Goku a new life and everyone was sad and then he just stood up again and laughed because they were technically already in the afterlife.

If Gowasu dies then so does Universe 10's God of Destruction. That's a huge deal.

While that should technically happen because that happened to old kai, it won't  . He's going to die and be gone for good would be my bet.

but.. I can't do goku's voice. I just can't. wtf? does this not bother anyone else?
It doesn't even need to sound particularly masculine - it's more that this just is stupid. what man sounds like that?

It's something that took me a lot of getting used to. It's almost the same voice he had as a kid and I'd say it's not a good voice for him to have. But it doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

I've never liked Goku's voice. You get used to it (I didn't think I would, but I did). The day English comes out, I plan on watching all the episodes in that and on rewatches, watch those. But for now I live with the Japanese. Only bad ones are Goku (well imo) and Yajirobe. The others aren't too bad (Vegeta's VA actually sounds good, I like him as much as I like the English VA).

Japanese King Kai also has a weird mismatch between his facial expressions and his monotone, always calm voice.

Yeah adult Goku's voice is probably the single worst thing about watching DB in Japanese.
