This Manga, All You Need Is Kill, is written by Ryōsuke Takeuchi and illustrated by the same guy that did Death Note, Takeshi Obata. The Manga is based off the light novel "All You Need Is Kill" written by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
AYNIK is a military sci-fi that is based around a solider named Keiji Kiriya that keeps re-living the same 2 days just before he dies in a military engagement against an alien race known as Mimics and his involvement with a young female commander named Rita Vrataski.
If you haven't read the novel, I suggest you do so. The Author of the Manga has hinted at expanding some scenes to increase the length of the series.
Enjoy!

My personal thoughts, I love the artwork. The story seems generic but when you deal with time travel type stories like 7 Monkeys, Looper, etc. It's not hard to reinvent the wheel here which is ok. Hopefully there will be something to crank it up as more chapters are released.
Edit: There is also a movie about to be released called "Edge of Tomorrow" featuring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt which is based off the novel.

Well, definitely interesting I really do want to see where this is going to head to. For some reason, I feel as though the end of this is going to be them winning the war through his knowledge, him living out his life, and then when he dies naturally it loops back to the same time. Kind of a depressing ending, but it'd be a good ending none the less.

Aren't they making a hollywood movie with Tom cruise based on this? Pretty neat concept and I will have to check it out.

lol, I just finished the book like 2 hours ago, after I read this thread. The book was okay, not that great, much more exciting in the manga adaptation, perfect for a movie adaptation. But the story is not that great, and I hope the movie does a better job at making the story more exciting.

Was interested until I read that: "[...]his involvement with a young female commander named Rita Vrataski." Meh.

Read up to chapter 3. The manga is promising. I'm hoping for many chapters!

Bump, but has anyone (international) seen the movie adaptation? How is it?

I don't know how it compares to the book/manga since I haven't read them, but it was an entertaining flick. Cruise and Emily Blunt play their roles convincingly, there are impressive visuals (at some points maybe a bit less shaky-cam would have been nice, but I wasn't distracted by it), the time loop is handled pretty well, the mimics are threatening, and you don't get bored. There are probably some aspects of the plot which can be criticized, but nothing which prevented my enjoyment. Don't hesitate to ask more precise questions and I'll answer with spoiler tags if necessary.

No spoilers, please! It hasn't come out over here yet
Was just curious because it's getting surprisingly good reviews (95% on Rottentomatoes).

Yeah don't worry, I wasn't going to put spoilers outside of spoiler tags (and I'll announce them clearly if someone asks a question)

Damn, the manga is a bit interesting, I'll admit. I'm not particularly interested in the movie or the LN but if there are more chapters out somewhere than on mangafox (13 now) I'd like to read them. Aww even sen has only raws up to 15
