In fact, the only new thing is the possibility that Donna starts dating that funny, handsome client.
Well, that vendetta between Harvey and Malik is obviously going to escalate.

Yeah but for some reason it didn't seem so urgent to me. Maybe it's just the hiatus.
i havent seen a single episode yet. probably says a lot about how far suits has fallen since its the first time i havent watched episodes as they came out. will probably post my thoughts once i catch up though
I still have to watch 1-2 more episodes in Season 8, but overall I've enjoyed the back half a lot more than I thought I would. I thought not having Mike and Rachel would be a huge blow to the Suits writing, but I agree with Bourgeois that I'm super impressed.
Just finished the season. I thought the writing was good overall, with the parallels between Harvey/Jessica and Samantha/Robert, and the foreshadowing that Robert was going to do something interesting as a penance from a long time ago. I also like how a bunch of cameos emerged over the past few episodes.
Donna effectively ending her relationship with Thomas Kessler to hook up with Harvey. Harvey has wayyy too much plot armor, and Thomas and Donna legitimately made a great couple together. It makes me sad.

Yes, but the number of Suits fans that want Harvey and Donna to end up together, totally outweigh any other Harvey/Female, Donna/Male relationship that could happen. It was inevitable that this would be the outcome.
ok so i finally caught up after binge watching all the episodes. i gotta agree that they wrote the episodes very well excluding the part where they made zane feel like he had to redeem himself with this for something thats honestly completely irrelevant. he could have just taken the deal with his previous partners where he retires for hardmans partnership and end up with the same result minus being actually disbarred.
also the donna and thomas thing ended too abruptly and the final harvey and donna scene should have had actual dialogue rather than over the top groping.
and that moment when harvey calls mike and leaves a message was pretty sad. i hope mike reappears for an episode or 2 when they wrap the season up. he can leave rachel behind though
YEAHHHHH MIKE IS BACK! i knew hed be back for the last season. i wonder if itll be for an episode or 2 like i thought or if hes back for longer. cheers for the reminder dpb
I started watching late and done all 8 seasons in a row. I was impressed how series was speeding up from season to season and then season 8 is total disaster. Samantha is good character but the way it ended up with Robert Zane was just... I understand Rachel will not be coming back and his character is done but it's a bit illogical that he stepped up to save Harvey instead of just resigning and giving Hardmann name on the wall anyways in his old firm. No one needed to get disbarred.
Also, quality of Loius Litt's character has drastically lowered. He was great on his own way but in last couple of seasons... It's just bad.
I hope they will finnish show in a good fashion, not just as fan service (GOT-like).
I am also glad that Mike is back but I don't think he will have a major role since comming back to Specter-Litt-Wheeler-Williams is highly unlikely.

I agree. I could see Harvey making a cameo when he's in serious kick-ass mode, but I can't see Donna's magical omniscience or Louis's dramatic goofiness fit in nicely with this darker, grittier spin-off.
