I care. It shows a perpetual flaw in the relationship between Louis and Sheila: first it was wanting to get married without talking about one of the most important questions to figure out beforehand ("do you want kids"); now it's pushed back to agreeing to have kids without talking about one of the most important questions to figure out beforehand in an inter-religious relationship ("what religion do we raise them, if any"). I think this recurring theme about them rushing into romance and the future without thinking about their potentially huge hurdles fits into Louis's narrative quite nicely. He desperately wants to be appreciated and liked and loved, Sheila is pretty much his dream girl, and Louis is more than happy to drop (almost) everything and say "fuck it, I want to be with her, let's gogogo because if I lose her I don't know what I'd do".
And I hate that gay psychologist who thinks he's going to get into Louis' pants by acting like a gentleman.

He's the real MVP in all of this, especially recently, when it comes to helping Louis (and now, Harvey) realize when they're overreacting and why they're saying and doing certain things. I'm guessing that was the midseason finale? They kinda wrapped that one up a bit too quick. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but I do kinda like the new rythm. We'll see how the rest turns out in december or january or whenever it returns again. Guess DPB will PM us all
I liked the battle between Samantha and Alex a lot. I'm going to echo bourgeois for once though and say I don't like the Louis and Sheila storyline at all. It doesn't add anything and it's boring.
i think its pretty clear that the louis sheila relationship had to happen for character development. they couldnt make louis managing partner and solve the firms inhouse problems without making louis mature the fuck up.

I'm really glad that we got to see Alex and Samantha finally go at it and be super cutthroat, although it was predictable that neither of them could go five minutes before miscommunicating and doing some shady shit lol.
Louis (and puppetmaster Donna) are neutral enough (especially compared to the increasingly partisan Harvey + Alex vs. Robert + Samantha) to bring the firm together and see the bigger picture, as long as Louis grows up more, which was a character flaw that's being addressed by him gaining new perspective and maturity as a soon-to-be father.

I agree with evil that: 1. The Louis + Sheila storyline adds an opportunity for Louis's character development; 2. The baby/ family addition shows how Louis is learning how to step up, which is absolutely necessary for him to succeed as managing partner.

First episode back from hiatus, and it was a little weird that everything ended perfectly, including everyone at the firm appropriately apologizing and congratulating everyone else. First time there hasn't even been a little cliffhanger or teaser or "Well that's gonna bite them in the ass next episode." Everyone did a good job. In fact, the only new thing is the possibility that Donna starts dating that funny, handsome client.
