harvey goes back to doing normal lawyer things and we have a new louis litt that harvey gets to kick ass. in a way i think its a blessing that mike isnt here now because harvey had become so dependent on mike to carry him in the last couple of seasons, itll be nice to see harvey carrying his own ass like the early seasons.
the one thing that bugged me though was the fact that the asian girl was literally the first asian to ever appear on the show and shes the one to get fired. like wtf???????????
i mean....why not just fire a completely random white person instead of bringing in an asian for the sake of "diversity" only to remove them from the show 10 seconds later. that was stupid as shit
I don't think her being Asian was for diversity's sake, since it wasn't even a role for more than sixty seconds. The Suits directors can't possibly think they'll earn diversity brownie points for her being Asian, so I just viewed her as her role. I think she did a great job showing Katrina how hard the firing process would be.

I don't think many people would mind having more Asian/ Asian-American characters on Suits, as long as they were good actors. Usman Ally as Andrew Malik was great.

just caught episodes 2 and 3. im so glad rachel is gone but it really sucks that mike isnt here still.
overall pretty decent episodes though

I like the season so far. They're doing a good job of keeping things interesting and the audience wanting more. I definitely miss Mike but I'm happy about the fact that Suits hasn't been a complete disappointment yet.

I agree with both of you. All three episodes have been pretty good so far, and I particularly like how they're fitting in Robert Zane and Samantha Wheeler. I could definitely see Samantha and Alex being a force to be reckoned with once the dust settles over the whole "who is the next name partner" issue. I'm also happy that Brian is a recurring character now; I like the actor (Jake Epstein) from Designated Survivor, and I like his relationships and rapport with Katrina and Louis. Harvey turning into Mike during this last episode was interesting; I miss Mike.

I think this season has done a decent job of mixing in conflict within ZSL and conflict with outside forces. Harvey is a weird character as second fiddle in his own series, but he's always had a rough transition from rising superstar to struggling for leadership to this awkward place where he has what he wants but doesn't know what to do next.

Episode 4 was me thinking "This 'my way or the highway/ no nonsense/ you follow my orders or else' version of Robert Zane is exactly how I pictured him attempting to lead the firm", and then the ending (Donna/Robert, Louis/Samantha, Harvey/Alex) was pretty cute and all about treating each other like family.
I wonder how long that'll last.

I dunno.. Harvey feels incomplete without Mike, i miss their banter  . I really dislike Alex (both the character and i don't think the actor is very good). I feel like the show is lacking a powerful character, kinda wish they'd bring Jessica back.

I expected that person to be Robert, but it seems Donna is even the puppet master with respect to Robert too (and from time to time, Donna is kept in check as well).

i agree that alex as a character is a bit meh. not sure if its the acting or the writing but he seems so unnatural.
atm im just looking forward to when shit goes down at zsl and zane/wheeler face off against specter/litt/alex (dunno last name) and donna. i think its been foreshadowed already that zane and specter are gonna collide sooner or later

This last episode made me like Alex a bit more, but I agree that he's the weakest of the current crop. I like Samantha, and feel they have actuallly made the show remarkably interesting for it losing one of its main characters. It even feels a bit lighthearted again at times, rather than just ceaseless infighting and drama.

im not sure if i like that samantha is acting kinda like what youd expect from a rational person, or if im disappointed that she isnt living up to the "i dont give a fuck" attitude she showed in the first episodes. shes turned into a nice character already when she was teased as a complete shit stirrer

The latest episode was a nice change of pace. The atmosphere of the episode felt a lot less dramatic and intense than previous suits episodes. This one was fun to watch while also being just dramatic enough to keep the audience focused on what was going on.

I like that this episode teased some naughty relationships. Katrina is perfect as a home wrecker and I hope she embraces that role, even though all of the ZSL lawyers seem to be trying to embrace some sense of honor. I also like the frenemy relationship between Samantha and Donna and they should definitely have a cat-fight that somehow ends up in the shower. And quite naturally, Suits will peak when Harvey and Louis have a naked mud fight at some point.

Louis and that Shriekla need to go. There's a reason why TV dramas generally hire beautiful people to act in them. It's terrible to watch, it's not Dawson's Creek, and nobody really cares about whether your baby is raised Jewish or not. What makes the writers think that anyone is interested in this sort of bullshit? And I hate that gay psychologist who thinks he's going to get into Louis' pants by acting like a gentleman.

I think Katrina's whole "sincerely uncertain about what is going on with the fact that now I have someone who is my friend... this is new to me... and I might be getting butterflies with this guy... this is also new to me" situation has been done very carefully and innocently and sweetly. She's clearly never had an easy time making friends, but was damn good at focusing at her jobs and hobbies, and now she's really trying to walk as a social person for the first time. It's perpetuating the parallels between her and Louis, which I think is really cool. It adds more depth to her character, and I think the audience would much prefer empathizing with the way she's currently trying to figure out friendship and relationships than if she actually came into the Brian picture with a more stereotypically "intentional evil home wrecker" side.
