A 26 episode series in total =/ But hey that's better than the original 13 ish! :D
Hey 26 episodes is the equivalent of a pretty meaty anime. It's more content than Big O season 1, but they can get to the point faster than a typical Gundam series. I'll definitely take it. Plus, if they keep at this pace, we'll have a really good story ahead of us.

Yep, 26 is a very good number :D Only few anime can go for ~52 episodes without losing noticeable quality.

Still I think the makers of avatar can pull it off.

That clips is making me think that Tahno losing his bending will make him less of an hasswhole and later on a new non-bender part of the team...but who knows

FFFUUUUU shit just got real -- that flashback with Aang sent shivers down my spine. It was apparently Toph pointing at some evil looking dude to Aang and then Aang being badass in the Avatar state (but with his eyes normal) and pwning the dude. Epic foreshadowing.
Another thing I like about the series is that it doesn't seem as black and white as TLA (which was fine) with the Fire Nation led by Fire Lord Ozai being the genocidal warmongers trying to take over the world. Amon doesn't seem (yet) to be some psychopathic "pure evil" dude like Ozai. Like other people have pointed out, he uses non-lethal tactics (despite being a terrorist). It seems more like he actually believes he's a revolutionary fighting against an oppressive regime and unjust social order (an obvious generic mirroring of Communist revolutions). I think we'll see more of the show from an Equalist perspective with moral ambiguities or dilemmas of social justice.
Also it's interesting how all of this takes place in Republic City, which is similar to the rapidly modernizing Shanghai of the 1920s developed by the Nationalists in the fledgling Republic of China, which became the People's Republic of China after the civil war between the Nationalists and Communists. I think of this parallel as a curiosity rather than something intentional and I don't think the show will be so overtly political or reflective of any particular historical events. I certainly don't think it will promote any sort of partisan view, but the creators probably intended for the show to be politically thought-provoking.

The show doesnt compare to the first but still entertaining. I am watching it no doubt. I would personally like to se pre 100 year war.
btw, I think Amon is "Tarloc". Tarloc is the leader of the taskforce to take down Amon.

Tarrlok's skin colour is too dark for him to be Amon.

So are the episodes post 3 not being put online?
+ Show Spoiler +Someone PM me ep downloads

The top comment on the episode 7 clip is "Looks like Amon took away his hairbending" which I just have to say is hilarious.

wouldnt make sense, but maybe amon is jet?????? revolution fighter whos parents were killed by fire benders. sounds like jet's story, although hed be rreally old if he was alive. which he shouldnt be since he died. something to ponder
