Hahahahahaha. I do have experience. Smash Brothers. It's dismissed as casual but what I see is Capcom missing out of hundreds of millions of dollars by appealing to the ~2m fighting game market instead of the ~12m less competitive fighter one.You know what, I think Ponykart should have all the current Ferraris in it. I expected my experience to be slightly relevant. As tlponies has taught me, they are entirely different genres and I was wrong to want it. You will never get anywhere with this sort of self-defeatist attitude. I am not physically capable of pressing buttons that fast. What else can I say? I'm pretty sure that Fim is going to be free to play. It is, I meant I'm not buying a plastic thing meant for SERIOUS GAMING for playing this. If a fighting game doesn't take a high degree of mechanical skill in the first place, what is there to differentiate skill levels? Besides, even in Starcraft you can have heaps of fun in D- or Bronze League, so if you want to play against similarly skilled people in Fighting is Magic, you won't have an issue? Also, in other news I have obtained an mlp shirt (for a particular special female's birthday, but it arrived a week late ![]() Shirt in question (rainbow is best pone): ![]() EDIT: Thanks nohbrows, I only saw the add image icon hehe.

It's no different than hitting 1a4aaa in SC2. Except for FiM, most of the keys are conviently grouped toghether. Logically, the mapping makes sense. The stronger the move, the more complex its key sequence. And don't forget these are specials. I'm pretty sure, as scint said, a regular attack will be simple. Besides, you play SC2. You surely have the mental capacity to learn as fighting game. As for not being physically capable...I'm pretty sure a lot of athletes were not physically capable of what they do now in the beginning. Just got to put your.mind to it. With regard to "not being able to press buttons that fast" - unless you have some physical disability, then yes, you ARE capable of pushing buttons that fast. For example: hold the down key, then on top of that hold right (so you are holding down+right), then let go of down. Congratulations, you've just performed a quarter circle roll. If you played competitive Melee/64 then you'd have no problems doing the inputs FIM is asking you for, as it requires even more dexterity than what FIM is asking you for. Sometimes competitive Brawl might even ask you to quickly shift your stick. If you don't care and are disappointed that the game isn't the genre you thought it was, then I have no help for you there.

I am not physically capable of pressing buttons that fast. What else can I say? Unless you're physically or mentally handicapped, you can do it. And even then, you probably can do it. Why not wait until its out, then practice and try a bit first. Then bitch afterwards instead of before. And if you've been following the game and looking at the footage, I don't know why you would have thought it had different type of input instead of these very standard and basic movesets that are used in almost all fighting games. Certainly, even if you tried right now. You could put your right pointer finger on the down arrow and your middle on the right. Then let go of down, and then let go of right; after which you can use your left hand to mash any other key on the keyboard and pretend its bound to a,b,c,d. And you'd have a hadouken, its just drumming two fingers.

Capcom isn't missing out on anything, they constantly try to simplify their games by adding things like "simple mode" in Marvel 3, or assist gems and autocombos in SFxT which partially play the game for you. They never work right, and in some cases make the game worse (assist gems in SFxT are way too powerful), so I think they should just abandon this shit and make their game without adding these handicaps. Of course they should still make it as accessible as possible without adding those dumb shortcuts, and once they make the game they can actually teach players how to play through tutorials in game with indepth explanations on all of the mechanics, characters and such. Give them a reason and reward for learning how to play without resorting to pressing an autocombo button. As far as FIM goes, the developer can't really add a tutorial mode to their game due to engine restrictions, but I heard that they plan on making tutorial videos on their youtube for new players. I have played Fighting is Magic, it's difficulty is average for a fighting game. Twilight, however, is a really easy character execution wise with plenty of potential for strategic thinking. Just to be clear, the inputs are one motion, one button. So to do Twilight's forward fast fireball you do d,df,f then press B, to do her upward fireball you do the same motion and press C. It's not really that difficult, you should try it out when the game comes out. Btw fighting games can be played on a gamepad, there are some high level players who play on pad so you shouldn't worry about having to buy an arcade stick. You shouldn't make fun of people who play games seriously either, especially considering the website you are on.

The only exception is the Lv3 thing which uses 2xHCB which is admittedly difficult for newer players. If you can't handle QCF and SRK then you simply need a half hours practice and you got it. Maybe replace 2xHCB with something else, but otherwise its easy-peasy. Changing that input would affect gameplay and make Twilight and Rarity's super way faster to come out, which the dev team might not want to do. Most of the time you put supers on complicated inputs for a gameplay reason.

Besides, then everyone's list (including mine) would most likely consist of the season two opener and the finale and three other episodes. 2). Don't talk about Fight Club.

Given how much durability (or how little dmg) the character have (do), having attacks that take half dmg seem like a little much. However, for those of you that think its difficult to do, consider how hard SC2 was until you learned. If you play enough, you'll find there will be a lot more irritating things than the input commands :D. EDIT: NOOOO JHUYT. you MK9 double ex meter burned against me!!!! My what did what now?
