- The Cutie Mark Chronicles - M. A. Larson
The perfect episode. I've even managed to convince people as to why this is the best episode when they disagreed with me. Firstly, it's an origins story. Most people love origins stories. Due to this simple fact, in a character, empathy driven series such as MLP, that means the more you watch and grow attached to each character, the greater impact an episode like this will have. This factor alone gives it an insurmountable advantage over every other episode right there. The execution was also quite perfect. Despite how much content there was in each flashback, the need to drive the story between flashback to flashback, all ramping up to everything getting neatly tied together in the end, and using the CMC to move the story along, it all worked, somehow. That said, I believe this embodies the spirit of the show in its purest form. Yes, parts of it sound really cheesy, but they get the job done. For example, when Pinkie says "I wanted to keep smiling forever, and I wanted everyone I knew to smile, too". At first glance, it looks pretty terrible, but if you hear it in context by watching the episode, and know the character, then it's touching as fuck, because you know it's pure, simple, and genuine. Most really good episodes, like Sisterhooves Social, have a few incredible moments that make them so good. This episode is almost entirely comprised of said moments. I don't think it's possible for them to top this episode, honestly.
- Sonic Rainboom - M. A. Larson
What can I say? This is the episode that made me a passionate fan. The pacing. The buildup. The music. The "welp, I know how this is going to turn out" Icarus reference. The last act. Everything Rainbow went through, from start to finish. All of it was perfect, culminating in what is perhaps the most epic single moment of the entire series. While this isn't my top episode, it's probably my favourite, considering its immense sentimental value. Those that know me know exactly what I'm talking about. Between that sentimental value, this episode, and Chronicles, it's pretty obvious as to why Rainbow Dash is my favourite pony.
- Sisterhooves Social - Cindy Morrow
It was a huge tossup for me between this and Luna Eclipsed at number 3. I ended up going with Sisterhooves because it was more true to the show, and is an emotionally provocative episode, whereas Luna Eclipsed is more along the lines of a ton of fun and epic. Although I'm an only child, I found the episode to be quite touching. As per usual with this list, the pacing was perfect. The reveal at the end may have been very obvious in hindsight, I'm oh so happy that I was too busy being caught up in the rest of the episode to notice that it was Rarity the entire time, because when the reveal happened, it hit me pretty hard.
- Luna Eclipsed - M. A. Larson
There isn't a great deal to say about this episode that isn't redundant. Luna's return had an insane amount of hype, as well as speculation about how exactly they'd portray her, and how far they were willing to go in the season's "scary" episode. They pulled her off perfectly, from how she carried herself down to her voice, which isn't too much of a surprise considering that Larson wrote the episode and Tabitha voiced Luna. Those two, in my opinion, are the clear best at their respective roles in the entire production crew. The rest of the episode was paced well, had great visuals, and is easily one of the most widely popular episodes. I had an incredibly difficult time ranking it only 4th.
- The Last Roundup - Amy Keating Rogers
This episode did a ton of things right. I loved the pacing, Derpy out of nowhere, Pinkie being herself, and the amazing I Love Lucy reference made this one a ton of fun. I even remember watching that particular scene referenced when I was a child, since my parents would occasionally watch I Love Lucy. Even though the ending was a bit cheesy, it was really heartwarming in spite of that, which concluded the episode very well. Perhaps I liked the ending because of how well-written the episode as a whole was.
Bonus: Return of Harmony is my favourite two-parter. While Canterlot Wedding is more epic and has my favourite song in This Day Aria, there's something about watching characters that you've grown so attached to getting emotionally and mentally broken by John De Lancie that gives me epic feels and nerd chills that Canterlot Wedding couldn't match. That, and it's the closest to grimdark the series has gotten thus far.

Man, I was going to write my own top 5 but then I just realized it's been far too long since I've really seen the show and I really can't say too much past, Sisterhooves Social is definitely my favorite and there are quite a few that come to mind when I think of seconds but I need to really re-watch before I can really decide...

EU QUALIFIER #2 INFORMATION FOUND BELOW
These qualifiers are open to everyone. Any skill league, and as many people that want to play. I will take each and every one of you =D. If you want to sign up, here is what you need to do. If you have ever signed up for a BronyCraft Tournament, it should be very familiar to you. I have to stress that you follow this format to the letter though. This Tournament is going to be very hectic, and will require Twilight OCD levels of organization to keep straight. So, if you do not follow the format laid out here, your spot in this qualifier may end up being dropped. Fair warning. I don't want to come off as mean, but I just want to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible =D
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR EU QUALIFIER #2
1) Post in this thread the following numbers in this list. Easy, right?
2) Battle.Net Name for your EU account.
3) Your friend code for your EU account.
4) Your favorite pony of the MANE SIX. Not Spike, Not Celestia/Luna, MANE SIX. (Don't complain, just do it =D)
5) Main Race - You must pick Terran, Zerg, or Protoss for the whole season. NO RANDOM.
6) Finally: To make sure that this thread stays on topic, post your favorite Screenshot OR Fan Art of Season 2. (ok, this can be optional too. But do it anyway, cause why not?)
7) Copy paste ALL of the above information and PM it to ME. BioSC. Yes, double confirmation. Again, Twi OCD levels here. Make sure that when you PM me, the subject of the PM is the # of the qualifier you want to sign up for. (Example: if you want to sign up for this qualifier, the subject would be "EU Qualifier #2"

As for the tournament itself, its pretty straightforward. Here are the rounds/starting maps. I will add and subtract rounds as needed, of course.

Round 2: Best of 3, Starting map: Ohana
Round 3: Best of 3, Starting map: Daybreak
Round 4: Best of 3, Starting map: Atlantis Spaceship
Round 5: Best of 5, Starting map: Entombed Valley
Round 6: Best of 5, Starting map: Cloud Kingdom
The format for the tournament will be a simple BestOf format. The first map for each round will be the one as described above, and next maps will be chosen by the loser of the previous map. the map pool for EACH qualifier, and the Main Event, is as follows.

Finally, there is the points system. It is a very simple system, but I still want there to be no confusion.
Each qualifier has an opportunity for a person to score a number of points based on how well they progress in the tournament. The top 2 finishers from each qualifier will earn a spot in the Final Event, but the rest can earn spots based on the points they earn out of each qualifier. The possible points that can be earned are listed below.

Once again, I ask for some community help. I want to make BronyCraft 3 as amazingly epic as it possibly can be, but alas, I cannot do it alone. I do have experience. Smash Brothers. It's dismissed as casual but what I see is Capcom missing out of hundreds of millions of dollars by appealing to the ~2m fighting game market instead of the ~12m less competitive fighter one.You know what, I think Ponykart should have all the current Ferraris in it. Also, in other news I have obtained an mlp shirt (for a particular special female's birthday, but it arrived a week late  ), now I just need to pluck up the courage to wear it in public (I blush really easily, and am quite selfconcious haha).
