No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is.

Time for Hasbro to potentially work us up into an angry mob again...
Top Cow is one of the two studios that splits the work on FiM, and they've recently confirmed 13 episodes for S3:
http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/04/top-draw-production-board-includes.html#idc-container
Now for S1 and S2, they've listed the entire 26, no matter how little a role they themselves had in any of the episodes, but for S3 they've only made mention of 13. Now for those that weren't around earlier when this news broke unofficially, 13 episodes in S3 puts the show at the exact 65 needed for syndication, meaning Hasbro could do what they've done in the past: cancel it at the bare minimum, and turn a profit off toys sold to the intended demographic without continuing to sink money into production.
Now hold off on emailing Hasbro for now. We don't know if it's just the work being split differently, and there's still the possibility of S4 onward even if the seasons are 13 instead of 26.

Today we teach Hasbro that Friendship is MAGIC! (and that rioting mobs are dangerous)

It's not that simple this time. Besides being a major investment for Hasbro, The Hub is a living, breathing thing with its own goals and motivations. It doesn't make money off toys. Channels need a stream of new programming, and trust me when I say there's nothing network executives love more than greenlighting more of the same safe bets. Too-good-to-last ghost stories have real issues underneath the hipster lamentation, and not record performances among their target audience.

Epic pics! Also, /sadface if S3 only has 13 episodes T_T EDIT: But reading what it says on eqD Iono I really hope what they said is true and it's just them splitting the work :O

I thought we already knew that season 3 was 13 episodes. Someone at studio B said it way in the beginning of season 2.

his rarity looks better than mine. I need to work on that.

Also looking at the eqD post and the comments and everything seems like it'd make sense that they have more than 13 episodes and season 3 is still gonna be awesome :D

"huh...i never realized it until now, but you are toootally pinkie pie" and then she walks away without explaining herself.
Im still not clear how I am supposed to take that...you know, besides the fact that i break out into songs daily. I think we have a winner here =D How did you find the show?
I had known about it since it first started to gain traction on the web, but decided to finally watch it now that it (only season 1) was on Netflix instant watch. I am up to episode 15 but am now rewatching some of the earlier ones because now my girlfriend feels some need to watch the episodes she missed. I trolled her a bit by telling her she was applejack (she hates southerners) but she is really a twilight sparkle because she hates the concept of friends.
we are having a good time

I'll be away for a week on holiday from tomorrow and i'll be keeping technology to a minimum (no internet browsing etc) so the first order of business when I return will be to watch the season finale and catch up on all pony related goings on that transpire during the week so i'll probably be the last to know about something super dramatic and awesome that will no doubt occur in my absence.
Looking forward to it though I am bummed out that the season is finishing. :p

We have formed our A-Team for the TL DotA 2 tournament (Link) and that brings up the question, should we form a B-team?
Now I won't do a poll or anything but if you're interested just pm me ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
The A-Team right now consists of: Phearlock (Captain), ScintilliaSD, Meltingcake, Bash, Runbunny and Skram (reserve)
Let's show those nerds how you love and tolerate!!

I want to form a B team and I want to be in it. Yeah we probably won't win a game but it'll be really fun regardless.
And this means we can learn to make comps that are good instead of randoming every game.
