SSJ5Gogetenks: For such a fan of the fanfic, you really don't seem to know what you're talking about. First of all, the Pinkie in Cupcakes wasn't even Pinkamena. It was regular, happy, bubbly Pinkie. But that's irrelevant, because whether it was Pinkie or Pinkamena, she would never kill her friends. Thus, Cupcakes is out of character. I like how you use Party of One to try and back up the idea that Pinkie would murder her friends. Going a bit crazy and being horribly depressed =/= being a psychopath who kills her friends.

The 'plot' was this: Dash goes to Sugar Cube Corner, Pinkie then drugs her, tortures her and makes her into a Cupcake. That's a really short and shitty plot, there is a complete lack of proper story structure. There is no explaination for Pinkie's ridiculously-OOC actions at all, and there are several massive holes in the plot that are not explained.

Hundreds of fanfics and songs? Videos too? Oh, my! Yeah, I'm aware there are people who waste their artistic talent (or lack thereof in the case of several Cupcakes sequels and spin-offs) on a shitty fanfic. Don't ask me why, but they do. But saying it converted anyone into the herd is quite frankly laughable. If it did, those people are going to be quite disappointed when the show is NOTHING like that, and if more written-like-shit content is what they're looking for, then they're also going to be disappointed that the show is much better written and does not, in fact, suck copious amounts of ass.

If you enjoy reading about cartoon ponies getting tortured, then that's fine with me. Whatever floats your boat. But don't argue that Cupcakes is well written, because it's not. The only reason it's so popular is because Sgt. Sprinkles was one of the first, if not the first, to write a gory MLP fanfiction, and it got posted on 4chan, and you know how they are about spreading shit they find amusing (note they find the concept amusing, not the fic itself). It was simply in the right place at the right time.

So becuase they read one gore fic, they must love gore?
If anything it helps get rid of the 'its for little girls' thing.
So some one hears about show, laughes at it for been girly, reads cupcakes, thinks if you can get that from it, it can't be all bad.

SSJ5Gogetenks: No, it couldn't happen. Pinkie is a little crazy but she's not psychotic. The whole number thing is one of the main problems with that fic. Sgt. Sprinkles offers no explanation as to where it came from.

I could write a Teletubbies gore fic. Obviously Teletubbies isn't THAT BAD if you could take that away from it, right? Seriously? That's your argument?

And no, I'm not the biggest fan of gore fics, but I can appreciate them if they're well written. My hatred of Cupcakes has nothing to do with the fact that it's gore or grimdark, it's that it's horribly written, as I've explained.

I also don't love and tolerate. I'll gladly insult something/someone if I don't like it.

I personally don't like shitty fanfics such as Cupcakes, but that's okay. You're entitled to your opinion.
