I don't love it, but I do think it's great that there is that much variety in what people are producing. I would've never thought of making a song like that for MLP. As much as I love the intense techno/house songs people make, I think the songs like some of the Luna ones I've come across are really special.
One of the few things that bugs me is how often people are cynical about Celestia. (I'm pretty sure that's the right way to say it. ) I think she's awesome, but she is pretty much always only talked about as Trollestia or... other things. The great princess needs some respect! She's even got a sense of humor behind her perfect regality.

I can't get over My Little Dashie. I hate and love sad stories that stick with you; it just throws everything off in my head. Gonna read it again soon, hopefully it'll get it out of my head.
The My Little Dashie fanfic is hands down the best piece of fiction that I have EVER read. It managed to be heartwarming and had a superb ending that managed to make me actually weep out loud uncontrollably. That fic is the first to ever made me cry that much with how absolutely powerful it was. If given the option to experience all over again, I'd do it in a heart beat.
And since I'm new here I may as well post how I was converted.
I was over at a friend's house and we were watching youtube videos together. We then watched the video "PONIES The Anthology". After finishing the amusing video, I expressed interest in giving MLP a chance (since I had actually been effectively avoiding it, though not showing hate to fans of the show) to which my friend happily began playing the first episode. After the first few episodes, I was hooked.
Following my conversion, I began to get involved in the fan community and even managed to convert my best friend.
And also, as some people have mentioned, I have noticed myself becoming nicer natured and overall more pleasant since becoming a brony.
Glad I could bring My Little Dashie to my fellow TL'ers! I had a very similar reaction to all of you guys, it just has so many messages that apply to life. It's uplifting, emotional, and wonderful =D
That fanfic...damn. I didn't cry, but I was left reeling. I think it's purely because I am a visual individual. If that was a movie, I can almost guarantee I'd have cried while watching it. That fanfic is simply beautiful, especially if you like Rainbow Dash the most (like I do).

Rainbow Dash happened to be my favorite MLP, which made the image that inspired the fic more adorable than it probably would have been to me. Although I think I would've cried regardless of which of the Mane 6 happened to be in Rainbow Dash's place because of how well written it was.
Luckilly, my friend doesn't need to be referred as he was the one who actually referred me to this thread, thus he is the reason that I finally registered on TL.net. I'm not aware if he has actually posted in this thread, though.

Eh, I think I'll take a bit of a gamble here. Anyone that wants a sample of what I've written (first chapter or two), shoot me a PM and I'll give you a pastebin link. Keep in mind it hasn't been proofread or anything, so don't expect a masterpiece. So far I'm starting the 4th chapter and am enough words in to make Vegeta crush his scouter. The whole thing is going to be in 5 acts (the way I have it structured in my mind makes it akin to a Shakesperean tragedy in that regard), so at this rate it'll end up being 150-200 pages in Word and be around 80-100 thousand words long, which is about an average novel, assuming I follow through with it.

I do agree with you about the whole writing quality of that fanfic. I guess I really meant that I got that much more out of it because of how much I like Rainbow Dash. It's times like these that I curse that I'm a visual thinker. The story didn't hit me nearly as hard as it should've since it was only a block of text, but damn, I wish it was a short film.
I'll also try to hang around in the #tlponies IRC channel if anyone wants to join me and shoot the shit. I'm usually around most of the day, except most Fridays and Saturdays.
This probably will have been posted already since its been around for a while now but the Applejack Stage theme for Fighting is Magic (it borrows from applejacks solo in winter wrap up listen for it! and the general theme and style applejack has throughout the show) always puts a smile on my face.
Its still work in progress I believe but we will probably have to wait for the game release before we hear the full thing, its made by the guy who made the 8bit tunes from the show for those interested.
