I left their apartment skipping down the hallway, since I was so happy with the scene and her reaction. I like how in the show they made it explicit that it was Bolton who kills Robb.
I'm pretty sure it was explicit in the books as well.

Well sometimes I'm dense and I missed it.
After a bit of Wiki digging you're right.

They didn't say it was Roose explicitly, it was hinted bc of his armor and the fact that he said Jaime lannister sends his regards

Hoping we get Grey Wind's head on Robb's body as the opening shot of next episode. Just bring all the horror of the RW right back at the start.

Understandable. That was was the tipping point for me. I kept reading a little bit longer, but I faded out shortly after. I had few if any characters to root for (except maybe Arya and Barristan.) It's a testament to Peter Dinklage that I actually like Tyrion this time around. I despised him in the books even though I know he is among the more popular characters for most GRRM fans. (Or Charles Dance for that matter- I hated book Tywin's guts.)

I cried a little when she said "Eddard"

So i havent read the books but i guess its not allowed to ask this in the show thread: the scene with bran/snow absolutely didnt make sense to me. The two wolves bran controlled were bran's and rickon's right? So jon must have recognized them and since the seer guy just told them a few moments ago he heard shouting in the tower and now there are those wolves, he must have known that bran and rickon are nearby, but he just rides away? And the wildlings just leave the tower be, not checking it out afterwards, not wondering where those 2 wolves came from and why they attacked anyone but snow? And where is snow's wolf all this time anyway?

the 4th book is disappointing. this was politics moves 101
I wonder if hbo will can tune the 4 book, because it's a really mediocre chapter.

To be honest, the Bran+Rickon split was pretty sad too. RW just overshadows everything.

in the show he's Ser Tyrion basically, can't do no wrong as opposed to the books. However this might work to the advantage after the events of the latter of Storm of Swords in making his decline into the darkness all the more tragic. Although Tyrions far from my favorite character reading Joffereys wedding seeing how he was treated actually made me feel much more sad than the Red Wedding (especially with the events that follow.)

Ghost is still on the other side of the wall, and Jon kills the skinchanger in the fight so I guess he does not give a shit who in the tower anymore lol. In the books if im not mistaken Jon does suspect the wolf was Gray Wind at first.

After watching tonights episode I kind of realized that in a realistic world Jaime is dead or should die very soon from Catelyn, seeing the events unfold on screen kind of make me sympathize with UnCat

Well it's a Direwolf, south of the wall there shouldn't be any, and those that are known are thoses of the Stark children.

Well it's a Direwolf, south of the wall there shouldn't be any, and those that are known are thoses of the Stark children. Except they found all their wolves south of the wall so it's not impossible that there could be more. Plus he was running for his life. Since the scene was changed from the books some it's hard to say what will happen next. Only Summer attacked in the book and was injured in the fight. The wildlings intended to come investigate, but the keep was surrounded by a moat that had a winding underwater walkway as the only way across it so if you didn't know way feeling your way would be exceptionally slow. I was disappointed that they removed Ygritte shooting Jon in the leg with the arrow.

that's one way to put it..

When i remember right it was his wife survived in the books. With the open question what happens with her in the future. I think this is done now..
Why is noone talking about this? Am i wrong? did she die in the books too and i remember false?
Btw i want to see what they do when tyrn kills his father. My theories that she (forgot name for his "bitch") never betrayed him and did not know in what bed she was lying in, comes to a test. I have very many strong points for this theories but want to see how they do it in the show.

so after watching it, i realized they skipped the part where bolton shows cat/robb theon's flayed finger. are they gonna leave ramsay in the dark this entire season?
|
I liked the change where they made Catelyn kill off Frey's wife instead of one of his sons, disliked the fact that they didn't play the lyrics for rains of castamere and I would have liked it if they played the song whilst the slaughter was happening instead of beforehand. Otherwise it was as brutal as I expected even more so, though Catelyn's death seemed a bit off.
