Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

You're trying to tell me that Rick is seriously contemplating running after Shane, despite the fact that his kid needs his blood to live in the meantime? What kind of person would even consider that? Between that, and a bunch of other 'dramatic moments' (like Lori pretty much inviting the kid to run into a dangerous situation because she doesn't want to 'always be the bad guy'), it becomes a chore getting through these story/drama sections to the interesting parts. But, it's still fun to watch. I've learned that you just can't have a good drama show unless the characters are doing things that are absolutely, 100% batshit fucking retarded. lol yea I kinda felt that way too. Like wtf??? Why would he try to leave his son... Then After getting told that leaving is the dumbest thing ever... He tries to leave again??? lol.. I was thinking the whole time how the hell is him leaving even crossing his mind. I also feel the same about laurie too haha. Me and friend been watching the show together and every time they let Carl go anywhere we both look at each other like wtf? Why would they say yea to that haha. Even with all that dumbness I still love the show though.

I find it entertaining which is why I watch it. If you think it's god awful then why are you still watching TWD :p I watched s1e1 and decided I would stop watching if episode 2 sucked. From reading the comments here it does. I'll probably check this thread occasionally to see if shitshow turns around. If not I am done with it. Sad. ![]()

I enjoy the dramas as its showing their gradual mental declines..both as actors and people in the story :D Shit needs to get more intense on the next episode...like mother fucking zombies fucking shit up though....I need me some guts and guns.... 1 thing about the first episode....why didnt they just change their RV for another one on that highway? Surely if they looked around they'd find a truck (which would be better) or another RV which actually works

I hope next episodes zombies eat a lot of the shit characters, so they can be replaced by people who add depth and might know how the motherfucking act. Highly doubt it though, I heard zombies like brains and none seem to have any ( except dude with crossbow he is ok)

But anyway, really enjoying this so far, even with all the plotholes / mistakes. Since Shane and Otis are now trapped inside the school with no apparent exit, Ep3 might be really interesting. There might be lots of zombie teachers/kids in there that they don't know about. Things could get really exciting. Expecting Otis to be like a red shirt guy, I don't see him making it back. Some kind of "You go man, leave me here" moment. It's set up nicely for that, especially with him feeling guilty for shooting the kid in the first place.

It just seems to ideal to be real. 2) They had to go to the school to get a breathing pump for Carl. They sat IMMEDIATELY next to an amublance outside, pondering how to get inside. Ambulances will have that sort of gear. Otis even said he was an EMT, and Shane was a cop, so they should have known to search those ambulances, but didn't. Just bugged me, otherwise still love the series. Addressing your second point: Ambulances do not carry ventilators.

Hahaha indeed in season 1 they could smell them slightly when they covered themselves in zombies. In season 2 they can hide behind a car with a bleeding arm without drawing too much attention. :D

sad to see so many negative comments. Seems like it's too much drama (the writing is actually quite decent for TV) for the zombie/gore fans to handle and too much zombie for almost anyone else to watch. I'm loving the 2nd season so far, the pace is good and gets very tense in parts. I'm especially enjoying the characters, particularly the redneck. You can't make a TV show completely based on "ZOMBIES AGAINST HUMANS", they're just one part of the adversity faced by a group of people thrown together in an apocalyptic scenario. It's the people and how they react to each other that's the real drama and will make the 'gut-eating' so much more powerful when it does happen.

They were both good and not that different to season 1 besides one or two inconsistencies in zombie behaviour. The series is hardly killed lol, just you've decided to come to this extreme opinion based on...what? If you watched S1 in one hit that might have done it, 1 episode at a time would make it feel slow.

So far I think season 2 is a little weaker than season 1, and I hope it doesn't degrade further with Frank Darabout being fired, but I'll definitelyh keep watching it. Still think it's a very good show. Also, I love the acting by the character who plays Rick. Very solid.

I really was hoping the series would have to do more with survival though and desperation. I just don't get that feeling from this series at all. Excluding the first 2 episodes of season 1.

BUT this is fucking awful, they just chit chat whole episode and the zombies are "super smart"... Seriously. And suddently they can even run... Yeah, this is what a lot of people don't get. Walking Dead is the "old school" zombie survival show (think Romero's Dead trilogy) where the main idea is focusing on society and characters and how they react in this kind of unlikely apocalyptic scenario. It's not about "Zombies are comin' to get ya every second of every day", but rather "zombies are a constant threat and if you let your guard down you'll get fucked". They could "run" (it's not exactly running) from the first season actually, think about Rick on the horse. Kirkman (creator of comic books) explains kind of like a horde instinct once they detect prey.

To be fair people irl tend to do batshit fucking retarded things when they're under pressure. Apocalyptic zombie invasion seems to put people under more than average pressure so... yeah that could explain it. I really enjoy the show I'd like it to be a tad more action packed though. The good thing about it is that I keep expecting zombies to pop out when it's least expected, hence I expect zombies to pop out from start to finish. It keeps me on the edge, I like it.
