E: ok this turned out to be quite rant-ish so just to clarify I still think it's a pretty good series :b

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Never mind that a) it isn't true (the sequence of events directly after proving that to be the case), the whole fucking premise of the show is anyone at any time. Within the 'rules' of the show, it makes sense. The scent things works but if you're being loud and obnoxious as that kid is want to do, shit happens. He was being a petulant little shit from the time we met him, and surprise, a petulant little shit finally had a breakdown whilst being covered in zombie guts and roaming around for hours in a gigantic swarm of the undead. Any objections with that are just objections to kids dying, which my response is basically lol - you shouldn't watch this show. my only big beef would be the believability of Rick going crazy and killing them all in the middle of night, and the crew coming out in tow and doing the same without so much as a single casualty. Also the deus ex action with Darryl and friends coming in the nick of time. That was definitely lazy writing. Have them come back and help, but don't make them come at just the right time to save borderline suicidal Glenn.

I don't wanna sound too negative towards the show, but I feel that currently there are 1-2 scenes in each episode that I enjoy and during others I subconsciously find something else to do.

Half of the people I was watching it with forgot they had the damn thing in the first place lol.

Send 1 lone guy to escort this other lone guy to the back of the truck, while the other 8 members of our merry gang sit here and stare awkwardly at the two remaining guys. Did anyone really expect something different to happen there?

Did anyone really expect something different to happen there? I figured Daryl would do something but I too forgot about the RPG (long ass break). I thought either Abe or Sasha was dead. But in fairness to Negan's guys they sent a rather scrappy looking redneck with a big dude who had several weapons and they had at least thought they disarmed Daryl. At least they didn't try to make Daryl the one in dire peril and have Sasha pull it off. I was kind of bugged by the "mom" from the last episode not feeling like it was resolved right away but as far as him dying, not bothered in the least and kind of wish that other kid took Carl out, but maybe Carl becomes a badass out of this and starts to bother me less. I do start to wonder how many people regularly watch shows they don't like or want to watch just so they can complain about it online.

I loathed Carl for the longest time but he's definitely been getting better. Maybe the eye thing makes him into a real mini-Rick. I agree about Sasha, I went from liking her character a lot originally to hating her. She's just become a loose cannon idiot really. Given all that has gone on, particularly with her, it's believable, but I just don't like her any more. I do like how goddamn badass Michonne and Carol are though. It's pretty funny because I remember one of the original complaints was that all the women in the first season were retarded, useless homebodies and they've turned that on it's ear in short order. I always loved Carol's character arc. And you could see her realize shit I fucked up when she shot the Wolf and realized he was helping what's her face

He's become a character I actually enjoy now, not like his prison/farm days at all. I was actually sad when he got shot and I thought he had died. He's gonna become more ruthless though, all this happened because he didn't kill that stupid kid when he had a chance and let him live. Knew the little kid was gonna get killed, didn't expect the mom to die though. Also thought Glenn was going to die as well, he had his moment to shine and die protecting his wife afterall. Had no clue how this episode was going to go and I loved every moment of it.
