Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Nonetheless here's what you do when you have a truck full of month's worth of food and stuff your people need badly: you go back directly. Have these people never played on a PvP server? Come on.

I assume you can all write an episode ? If so please do (that be fun to read),if not maybe..... try the "lazy writinng shit" once a month instead of once a week ? Because lazy writing is the epitome of this series every season and almost every other episode, how many times does one of the group members go out and then disaster strikes and it pans into a multi-episode event with little to no development or it being glosees over. Or how about rushing major events into one episode like last weeks then the newest episode pretty much skipping over major details and what could have been great character developments for other characters and even introduction of Jesus. I.e. While Carl recovers they explore Eugene 's character and overall Alexandria and then say next episode they introduce Jesus who does his thing and helps them with supplies then takes them to his area all the while we get to see Heath again anyone noticed we haven't see him this season barely? Instead we got the latest episode: 2 months have passed. Enid sulks inside Alexandria, then sulks in the woods with Carl then doesn't want to return to said woods. That was it. What was the purpose of those two characters other than to have Spencer kill his walker mother. And you'll notice we never see Enid again at all. Meanwhile Rick and Daryl go on a supply run and instead of one driving the truck and the other drive the car they both get in the truck and the worst part is Rick says they will come back for the car later. What?! Then of course there the walkers appearing out of nowhere, ninja Carol trying to follow ninja Morgan to see what he is up to and goes up his house and just open the door. Ninja Morgan discovering nirvana in a hour and half episode. And who can forget the Glenn "death" scene where they remove his name from the credits for the sole purpose to keep people talking because the next episodes would be boring as shit. That is lazy writing. This is the main reason why people say that AMC doesn't want a good television show it wants a popular television show so it can make as much money as possible. They are rushing to introduce Negan at the finale for the sole purpose to sell more crap and not make a great character come to life. And don't even get me started on season 3 through 4...

I don't mind the time jumps, that's a pretty standard thing and tbh once Carl survived and Alexandria started to rebuild, there wasn't much of a need to hang right there. But yeah, lots of other legit complaints imo, not just about that episode either. I think i'm gonna go get the comics to see if this is just an issue with the medium

Stupid. First there's the guy chopping nothing when they enter the town. Then of course the negotiating between the mayor and Maggie, to forceful and made no sense why wasn't Negan and the Saviors backstory explained instead we got that, then of course there was the confrontation which was lazy writing there to speed it up to get to show Negan by the finale. Then there was the second meeting and it hit the fan. So Rick's group is now Negan's group redux? What was the point of that other than the writers showing yea the original cast is still all powerful and awesome fuck yeah! And can we have one meeting between other survivors where Rick or the group doesn't kill someone from said other group. This is why backstories matter and why they should have approached the Saviors the way the comics did and just have survivors be survivors working together to prepare to face a bigger threat.

Is there some rule about spoiling stuff from the comics? Posts like these are a real bitch for those who haven't read the comics.

That said, no amount of protection would convince me to take my pregnant wife with me to a fucking war zone.

We don't know the first thing about Negan's people, what they did, where they live, how numerous they are, what equipment and fortifications they have. But sure, we'll kill them all. We accept payment in advance, thank you. Seems crazy to me, somehow they're massively overconfident after dealing with the horde and are forgetting how dangerous it is to fight against actual people with guns. Neegan just needs a lookout or two watching the roads and it could end very badly. They don't even have Carol to bail them out.

But these last 3 episodes after the break have been really great in my opinion. It feels like a breath of life. I don't know what it is in particular, but I think it is that a lot of plot is moving through at a good pace. It's not just a bunch of drama or pointless encounters. Yes the deal was really stupid to do in advance (on both sides. Why would either side accept a deal they might have no chance of winning from?), but in my opinion it's nitpicking to care about that too much. Sure it's dumb or unrealistic, but get over it, there's a lot more ridiculous things that have happened than that.

We accept payment in advance, thank you. Yeah, none of it really made sense. Rick and group actually took fucking spears seriously. Spears! Am I the only one that thought this was fucking stupid as hell? Jesus: We ran out of ammo long ago His leader: There's just nothing we NEED at the moment --5 minutes later--- Jesus: We'll he's right, our situation isn't DIRE at the moment. Like the fuck? You have no ammo. At all. You also have a large group of people ready to kill you at a given notice. The leader I can get, but why is Jesus trying to justify him? Why didn't Rick just decide to rob them? Stealing from a bunch of unarmed people seems like a much better idea that taking on Negan. There's no actual need for them to do any sort of trade. Jesus and group have no bargaining at all. Instead nope. We'll just go kill the group terrorizing you. Right now. No need to scout or make any real sort of plan. It's risky, but killing a group we've never met is better than just robbing these guys.

Ummm what? I think you need to go back and re-read this arc in the comics because they are literally introducing and approaching both Jesus and the Savior in the show the EXACT same way as in the comic at the time... The only minor difference(Major comic spoiler so if you haven't read comics don't click) + Show Spoiler + They didn't come across the mini scavenging group and Jesus meeting was slightly different. Different characters from Rick's side there. Carl came along, Andrea + Rick instead of Michonne Rick, no Abraham or Daryl since they don't exist. Edit: Yup sorry meant just Daryl didn't exist in comics and I think Abraham stayed at base on their run to Jesus' village though I don't remember that part exactly. I think it was Abraham and Michonne that found Jesus instead of Rick and Daryl. But plot wise it is literally the EXACT same, in fact if we went panel by panel through the comic comparing to the show I'm pretty sure some of the same lines were used with Jesus talking about the hilltop, the communities, and Negan.
