Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

It's not even like there was character growth. Oh, you mean Maggie and Carol feel bad about slaughtering people? Well holy shit, that's something we needed to spend an entire episode exploring.

i reckon that took a good 5 seconds to roll that door close, meanwhile, maggie and carol were all like stealth mode in Fallout or Skyrim. No reaction whatsoever from the saviours. edit: ok maybe not 5 seconds, but still, you'd at least expect some of them to go HUH?!?! and turn around

Really struggling to see what it added to the story. I suppose the biggest argument you can make I'd to introduce who the Saviors are. And as always, the bad guys don't get smarter as pointed out above.

I just don't like suddenly making Carol retarded, and then in the next scene headshotting someone without a second thought. I guess they tried making her sympathetic to the redhead because she was abused as well, and she don't give a fuck about the other woman since she's a threat to the baby, but that was a really ham fisted way of doing that imo. In general, I think the idea of exploring the group evolution into stone cold killers is good, but the exeution was once again lacking suddenly making Carol walk into melee range of the woman she has at gunpoint is just dumb no matter how you cut it.

I think I will. Edit: To clarify, I am simply not going to watch this episode. Really can't be fucked. I kind of get the feeling the Negan reveal will be the last episode of this season and they leave it as a cliffhanger.

Every week I come to read what people thought of the episode and there's one unreportable, dipshit of a mod who continually refers to future comic book events. Is it really that hard to just talk about the episode, not the comics, in a fucking [TV] thread? Anyone can deduce what you mean by the above quote and it does cut off directions the show could take. What did I spoil exactly? The Saviors have been mentioned since the beginning of the mid season premier not to mention they have been touted as being aggressors since the mid season finale... Never mind the fact there wasn't anything comic related in my post.

Now you could argue my intelligence as being below par for your standard for "anyone". But that comment means absolutely nothing to me in genera. So basically you mad cuz you know the same things he does?

I agree with you, the execution was just the worst in a long time, Red hair telling the whole story of her life, zzzz, Carol with second thoughts at this stage of the series, come on!!, Carol and Maggie being treated better than their own comrades??, and the scene in the killer floor is just so dumb...

I mean, we just had an entire episode before this where they murdered a whole complex of people in their sleep. Not like this episode took that to the next level or anything, lol.

Even in that world, a preemptive attack on sleeping people was new ground. New ground that the this last episode did nothing to expand on. The idea of them being captured was actually a cool one. It was just executed horribly and had no payout.
