Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

The writing for season 3 has been really bad so far, Im talking season 2 finale bad. Telling them about Merle would only provoke Daryl to go stupid. She overheard Merle talking about his brother when he took Glen and the girl. Not mentioning his name was extremely smart. About not mentioning Andrea, well she has her reasons, and many of them would be logical. For one Andrea decided to stay and Michonne didn't want Rick to know that or ask about more details. She is clearly very guarded person and speaks only when she needs to. Do you really think its better for Daryl to find out about it when they are infiltrating Woodbury so he will be forced to make a decision right there and then? Not mentioning Merle was extremly dumb but I understand why they did it. It wouldnt have the same shock factor if Daryl already knew that his brother was alive and living in Woodbury.
I actually think Daryl is going to stick with Rick, and it's Merle who is going to turn on the Governor. When the Governor asked Merle who's side he was on (since they knew Daryl was part of the other group), Merle hesitated before saying he was with the Governor. Merle's biggest concern has always been his little brother, so if Daryl stays with Rick, I really doubt Merle is going to stick with the person trying to kill his brother.

It's going to lead to issues, but it's within her character. If she wanted to leave that badly wouldnt it be smarter to gain the trust of the Governor instead of pissing him off?
No, because she already deduced that no one is allowed to leave Woodbury. If you leave, you will be hunted down and killed. There is absolutely no evidence that suggests gaining the trust of the Governor allows you to leave with your life.

Just finished up to the latest episode.. started from season 1, episode 1 like a few days ago lol. Gotta say, pretty amazing show. The second season was pretty slow for me, but season 3 is really picking it up which I'm loving. Can't wait for the mid-season finale, the preview looks sick. Hopefully Rick and his group goes in and fuck shit it up :D

I'd speculate that season 2 was probably better for you than those who watched it each week. Episodes where nothing happens are a lot easier to stomach when you watch a bunch in a row than they are when they have to hold up for a week between episodes.
This was definitely the case when comparing watching Lost in marathon sessions compared to one at a time. Actually, even good shows are usually funner a bunch at a time.

Psh, you guys should give reading the comics a try. Yeah, you can marathon through all 104 (so far) issues but once you finish all of them, you only get 10 minutes tops worth of reading every month. Waiting for 105 is killing me.

Yep. I was one of those who waited till Lost was about to end to watch the whole show. If i only had that patience with every other show... ;p

Yeah lol, I don't have the patience either.
I also find that I have a harder time understanding a show if I watch it on a weekly/seasonal basis. With the walking dead, it's pretty straight forward, but shows like Dexter I find that they mention stuff which you haven't even seen for the last 3 years xD.

I too think Daryl is going to stick with Rick, especially with this special relationship he has to Carol. Merle feels like he definitely will turn on the governor, I don't think he enjoys being belittled by him. But I can't see him join the other group either, he doesn't seem to sit well with any group. Therefore I guess he will die, proably in a way involving Daryl.

I think it'll somehow come to Merle trying to sweet-talk Daryl into trusting him like he did with Glenn, perhaps while pointing a gun at a group member. Daryl will say these guys are the family he never had, and kill his brother. However, the second part may well happen only after the mid-season cliffhanger.

Merle also beat the crap out of Glen, and tried to kill him with a walker. No way in hell they'd ever trust him enough to let him in their group.

My bets: Daryl kills Merle, it seems pretty clear. Specially after he finds out what he did to Glen.
Also, Merle kills the Governor. The Gov will try to punish him when he discovers he lied about Michonne, and 1 on 1 he is better. My money is on handknife to the head.
Also random black dude will probably bite the dust along with maybe someone else. The nazi scientist guy will probably join with Rick along with Andrea, because of the lack of annoying female characters since Lori died.

Daryl killing Merle looks pretty likely to happen, and the black guy will definitely get the axe from the 4 that are doing the raid, just hoping glenn and maggie make it out. Also hope Andrea gets fucked over in some way, she is dumb as a brick and her whoring her way through the the show is getting tiring

Nah, no way the Governor's gets killed in the mid-season finale. Some shit will go down to put him right over the edge in terms of wanting full-blown revenge on Rick and his group (maybe Rick will neck his zome daughter or something) but there's no chance the Governer will die until the second half of next season.

So who was watching carol from the bushes in one of the first episodes (can't recall which one) I thought it was Merle then I just forgot about it until now.
