Call me crazy, but if Merle doesn't end up getting killed off (Which is most likely going to happen), I think he would be a good character. He seemed like a bit of a dick in the first season, but seeing him now he can actually be construed as rational.
I think the only chance of Merle joining the group is by doing something incredibly heroic... for example have a situation where he has a gun pointed towards Rick and the Governor and chooses to shoot the Governor. However, I don't see that happening though since Rick has had a gun pointed up at him billions of times now... I think they have to stop playing that card for a while.

I doubt that they would kill the governor half way through the season, I personally think that the people left at the prison get captured, except carol who is killed by the governors men. Rick captures the governor or some shit and has to surrender when he finds out they have carl. Carl tells rick that they killed carol, at which point Daryl goes on a killing spree with his brother helping, hell breaks loose and everyone runs randomly into the wild. Andrea now understands what the Governor is like, but she has to play it cool, meanwhile the groups gets hunted as they try to make it back to the prison, i dunno.
I just can't see them killing off the Governor, what about the people that live in the town? Doubt they would sit idly by and let Rick and his group take the town over.

Telling them about Merle would only provoke Daryl to go stupid. She overheard Merle talking about his brother when he took Glen and the girl. Not mentioning his name was extremely smart. About not mentioning Andrea, well she has her reasons, and many of them would be logical. For one Andrea decided to stay and Michonne didn't want Rick to know that or ask about more details. She is clearly very guarded person and speaks only when she needs to.
Do you really think its better for Daryl to find out about it when they are infiltrating Woodbury so he will be forced to make a decision right there and then? Not mentioning Merle was extremly dumb but I understand why they did it. It wouldnt have the same shock factor if Daryl already knew that his brother was alive and living in Woodbury.
I actually think Daryl is going to stick with Rick, and it's Merle who is going to turn on the Governor. When the Governor asked Merle who's side he was on (since they knew Daryl was part of the other group), Merle hesitated before saying he was with the Governor. Merle's biggest concern has always been his little brother, so if Daryl stays with Rick, I really doubt Merle is going to stick with the person trying to kill his brother.
He's a sociopath. Even family ties aren't a strong enough thing for a sociopath. He'll be like "Woowee, little brother, I sure am disappointed in you", and slice.
The Governor still has plenty of character development left in him so they're not going to kill him (T-Dog had a lot of character development left too, though T_T). What I'm hoping to see is a change in The Governor's leadership style after a bunch of bandits/raiders (from their perspective) break into Woodbury and kill some of it's inhabitants.
In the TV universe, Brian Blake died and the Governor we see on TV is the real Philip Blake. Otherwise, the framed picture of The Governor, his wife, and Penny wouldn't make sense.

Again if you watched the actualy episode your question would be answered. The guts lasted for a very temporary amount of time, then her scent starts getting through and the walkers notice her. Per the fence scene where she faints and gets saved by Rick and Carl.
I find it amusing that this show will show the most horrific gore, but no way in hell will they allow boobage. The female chest area might corrupt some young peoples minds :b
