Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Are females this annoying/stupid in the comics as well? My only hope is this new black girl, who I have a good impression for, but again, we barely met her. Maybe this is just another show I have to watch when high, where people are not annoying, and they make very smart decisions The first episode for me, seemed to promise a lot of shitty ass drama, my hope is the new folks.

Also why would any1 hit a Dead guy in the head when you see one? (For example the warden that had the keys, Rick took them without even checking if the Warden was a Walker or not, also that mistake made Hershel lose a leg...) Also the already discussed recoil thing is lame... otherwise i liked the episode, even the weird Flashlight attached to ricks gun :O

Nothing too revealing in the spoiler, just spoilering it to be safe. + Show Spoiler + In the comics, both Lori and Carol are annoying as fuck. They totally fucked up Andrea though. Yes, she was a bit down after her sisters death but she wasn't this mopey piece of shit by the time the prison arc started either, her not being there during the prison clearing in the show was a total miss by the writers too. That's when she begins to show her importance as a strong member of the group. Michonne is a total badass though that barely shows any emotions, hopefully they don't ruin her character.

The Hershel bite was pretty dumb but I guess they just wanted to show us that amputating the section of a fresh bite can stop you from turning.

For me that test wouldnt be good enough, just hit the damn head! After Sophia got shot in season 2 1 of the girls shook the heck out of her mom before she attacked her... sometimes Dead ppl play dead :X

I have complained in the past about the 2 first seasons but if you see it as a whole, having those 2 seasons of 'transport' was great. The impact of seeing them working together and taking out zombies efficiently came as a shock to me! Felt satisfying watching the group doing their business now compared to before! And even if the group feels stronger and more efficient, when i was watching them they felt very fragile, like they could implode on themselves. Add in the group of inmates and the governer(guy at end of season 2) who know's what'll happen! Heck i didn't even dislike Lori this episode! I'll even go as far as saying i thought she was pretty good! Great hopes for this season! Edit: Oh and the Zombie Sleepers! Do they exist in the comic?

Also funny how they can stab through/cut heads just fine, but when it comes to a leg sudden they have to use the really dull weapon and it takes 5 swings. I do like how Carl is no longer a pussy. Seems like he'll be hittin up that one daughter sometime soon (now I see why she survived the farm). I'd say its fairly realistic when they actually swing at a zombie's head, ie. the blade stopping shortly past the skull. Its not like they're removing zombie heads ala kill bill/equilibrium style. When they puncture through the head in the show they are going through eye sockets.

They're referred to as "lurkers" in The Walking Dead. They're the way they are because they've taken some sort of injury that prevents them from moving (damaged spine, legs, etc.) so they just wait. Comic spoilers + Show Spoiler + Robert Kirkman said in an interview that he wanted Hershel to lose his leg, but felt sorry for him since he lost half his children, so he had Allen lose his leg instead.

Comic lori even at the height of her pregnancy is only like half as bad as tv lori is normally. As for andrea, i agree it's silly they did not include her into the prison from the start. It's as if her character has part allen in her where he went full retard after losing donna.... And it's just annoying cause in the comics andrea is pretty badass and not that emotional cause sharpshooting for the group helped to drown those feelings. I'm kind of hoping carol and lori both have the same fate as in the comics to make room for andrea and michome to prove how badass they can be without all the extra baggage in the group.

They only turn when they die completely, not from scratches/bites. Hershel could die if the leg wasn't cut off due to severe blood loss and/or infection.
