Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

So sad after this episode =( I can't believe 1. A zombie grabbed Carl's feet then basically let him go. 2. The same zombie reappears with a titanium-reinforced ultra pincer grip just for Dale.

So yeah the same zombie that couldn't hold on to a child could rip open Dales guts... I love the show don't get me wrong, but this was disappointing to say the least

Well, it would be easy for bony tips of the fingers to dig into someones stomach. Which was talked about on Talking Dead.

Carl's excessive crying was damaging the zombie's ears

it does'nt even matter that it ripped into his guts with some magical strength maybe it spent its entire day meditating to gain that strength
waht i want to know is how it snuck up to the guy whos been the LOOKOUT the entire series so far the thing has stealth capabilities at all its slow and lumbering its breathe can be heard from like 10 metesr away it constantly makes random zombie noises
but yet somehow it gets less than a foot away from him without him noticing
ya ok then

Dale keeps saying he doesnt want to live in a world without humanity. He got his wish.
When I first heard the zombie noise I thought dale was just going to 'suicide' but then i saw him struggling and fighting back

You have to remember that there was a dying cow making equally loud, if not louder noises. You also have to remember that Dale was extremely upset about the decision to kill Randall, and had therefore completely lost focus of what was going on.
EDIT: as for the vice grip, I agree with everyone that it seems unlikely that something with the strength to rip open a man's stomach would not be able to hold onto a child's leg.

well the zombie was kinda reaching for carls leg, and didnt really have that great of a base or footing
but he had full mount on dale!!

Good point, forgot about that little accident. I assumed he would have improved, but i guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

oh yeah the highway episode, LOL that was even sillier
there's no way a massive crowd of zombies snuck up on them when he was in such a great viewing poisition okay, maybe dale was the worst lookout of all time ever but he still had ears
yes, there's the argument that he was distracted by the loud dying cow... how the fuck did the stpuid slow zombie catch the cow? the cow just adds far more problems to this entire scenario
1) The zombie smells like death, becuase, well, its a fuckign corpse 2) animals do not like the smell of death, and so I doubt that the cow would let the zombie get close to it (but I'm a retard so I coudl be way off on this) 3) that cow was in pretty good shape, apart from that hole in its neck. I mean, it was still alive. So say the zombie used its stealth powers to catch the cow off guard... WHY DID IT STOP EATING IT? The zombie would not kill the cow just becuase. It would kill it so it could eat it. Why then was it off doing whatever the fuck behind Dale?
I dont evne know why I'm trying to rationalize this. I actually liked the episode, except for Carl being a bit retarded.

Lol I'm gonna miss Dale not the TV character but the comic one was sick. Idk if anyone else noticed but it had me so pissed off how many FUCKING COMMERCIALS does this show have holy fuck I wanted to shoot myself after the 5th one in an hour. Its bout 30 min of actual show I am getting so fucking mad I just wanna buy the series when its done.

tbh, I started to get annoyed in the last few episodes with Dale's constant pestering of the characters with hints about Shane's involvement in Otis' death. Stop beating around the bush and spit it out already! Not to mention that he just magically/telepathically/psychically puts two and two together in the first place.
However, Carl going full retard aside, this episode made me realize just how much of a good person Dale was. Not just a "omg Shane was mean to me so I'm going to spread serious unproven rumors about him" kind of guy. I guess I didn't take his personality seriously until this point in the series....the point where he DIES.
I'm curious to see Shane's true/full reaction to Dale's death next ep. He seemed a bit more tame towards Dale this time around imo.
|
I think it's mostly becuase Dale wasn't being aggressive. He approached Shane somewhat normally.
I'm curious how you all felt about the moral situation here. I don't think anyone would argue weather or not it is right to kill the guy (obviously murder is bad), the point was that setting him free might be a danger that could potentially lave them all dead.
Who's side would you all be on?
I figure that they shoudl have all at least tlaked to the guy and such. But I coudl be missing out on key info as I missed last week's episode, lol.
|
i would have tied him up, but purposely make it so that he can escape
and then you watch him run away and see where he goes, and wait till he gets on the road,
then you have tdog or someone else driving by and pick him up... and then you have them pretend that they're new guys from his old camp. (rick knows the names of the guys he killed, so he can just tell them, and they can make a story up). then you have them play along, and say they wanna find the guys who killed dave and tony. and you see what randall's reaction is and go from there...
lol ok ok, just letting my creative juices flow.. im just rambling :p

Well, I said this after last weeks episode.
At first, I would've helped Randal, fix em up, let him heal then let drop him off somewhere. With the whole bag over head and whatnot.
And then he mentions Maggie and that is all that is needed for me to make a decision. I would kill him right then and there. For a couple reasons. 1. He was in a group that tried to kill Rick and them. 2. He's so damn shady. 3. He knows Maggie. Doesn't matter if she knows him or not but HE knows HER. That means he probably knows where she and her family lives and if he didn't mention her name last week then he most likely would've led his group to the farm and raise hell.
For me, just the name is the selling point. There is no need to take a risk in a world like that.

Darryl implies that he knew Shane killed Otis from the moment he got back. This scene showed that Dale wasn't the only one thinking this way, and was infact not the first to figure it out.
The zombie didn't have a solid grip on Carl's foot, plus it was outstretched. With the Dale situation the zombie had all its weight ontop of Dale, and all its weight on the fingers pressing into his stomache. Agreed, it probably wouldn't be able to get through clothing, skin and muscle. But it's television after all; great television at that.

So now the series is about whether or not the kid will betray them/side with them or be killed before that chance (kinda already answered 2nd part in this episode), or the 30 man team gangbangers will find them regardless of the kid.

I think Dale dying pretty much saved the kid for good and that's gonna piss Shane off again except this time Andrea isn't gonna back him up so the whole Rick-Shane fighting is probably gonna flare up again.
They might never see the 30-man gang tbh, they won't know how to get to the farm without the kid telling them and the group might not even stay on the farm for much longer.
