Dale died, he was my favorite because he acted like I probably would've. I hate Carl now because hes acting really stupid and got someone in the group killed now.[TV] The Walking Dead - Page 151

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

And as I mentioned above, Shane and Rick were 100% okay with him doing it when they could have easily stopped him so they're just as much to blame from that perspective (which is a bad perspective to begin with as it's too far separated from the actual cause of his death). Rick's decision to let his son walk up to a dear was heavily influenced because his son showed interest. If carl sits back Shane kills the dear and they take a good dinner back home and Otis lives. Carl getting shot lead to Otis dying by walkers.

if the gun manufacturer had not made that gun that shane had, shane would not have been able to shoot otis furthermore, otis family should sue the manufacturer that made the gun that shane used to shoot otis with similar to the movie runaway jury starring john cusack

I actually liked Dale. =[ He was a bit annoying at times, he said some stupid things, but overall I liked his character. I guess his death is supposed to symbolize something. He was the moral compass. I'm sure lots of 'bad shit' will start happening now.

Rick and Lori having sex ultimately lead to Carl's birth which lead to Carl getting shot. So, Rick and Lori lead to Otis dying by walkers. See how we're not addressing the actual cause in either of these situations though? Shane and Otis are running from zombies attempting to devour them, Shane shot Otis rendering him incapable of further flight from the pursuers. That is the final cause of the Otis death. Shane is the cause, not Carl. Carl is the cause the same way Rick's grandfather is the cause.

Then not only would Otis live, but he'd have a delicious deer to keep him nice and fat. ![]()

"oh hell no!" nice ![]() hahahaha on point can't believe some people are saying this episode was "disappointing". tbh i EXPECTED it to be boring and it ended up seeming like the best ep. yet. so well played to have that incredible scene in the living room and the moral dilemma and the points dale made and then to kill him off...so well done. It's funny cause all i saw earlier in this thread is people bitching about dale but now...well... i think it's harder to hate him as a character after that episode.

If that had been the only discussion on the subject (besides the Dale 1 on 1 sessions) that would have been awesome! Too bad Dale kept saying (paraphrasing) 'you are making a rash decision' 'you've thought about it 5 minutes' 'one man's life is worth more than a short discussion' after everyone clearly knew about it for the entire day (and the day(s) before they planned to drive him out a way and let him fend for himself). But yea, not a bad episode when compared to others I suppose. On March 05 2012 14:31 dazed wrote: WHY DO THESE PPL ALWAYS WANDER AROUND ALONE??? I'm not going anywhere alone if i was in that world. I dont care if somebody's gotta watch me while I take a shit. Someone's gotta have your back in any situation seriously Carl running around the forrest alone? thats some good parenting. and Dale taking a stroll in the middle of the night? Dale was pissed that they were going through with the execution and went for a walk to show how much he disagreed with the decision. And yes, awesome parenting, kid steals a gun, then chills with a zombie in the woods by himself. Then when he gets back covered in mud no one even notices.

A zombie grabbed Carl's feet then basically let him go. 2. The same zombie reappears with a titanium-reinforced ultra pincer grip just for Dale.
