Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |
Lori is such an annoying slut. Wish the other group would catch her, gang rape her and feed her to the zombies!
T-dog either give him a story or kill him off, he is not serving any purpose!
Sofia's mom now that he is without husband(albeit abusive) and her daughter I can't see how she can be relevant to the story, kill her off.
I like Maggie, but I think she needs to be more of a cowgirl as in the start, rather than a useless bitch like Lori.
Glenn was my favorite character in the first season, right now he is in the middle of the pack. He hasn't done anything courageous or funny or even stupid.
Others I don't mind, but the story needs to move forward faster. I think this whole farm setting should have been over in the 6th episode. Its getting really tiresome seeing them on the farm.

You get to have awesome dreams and you are now more weary of being mugged. Win/Win. When I was 14 my psychology teacher told me that dreams are like a movie you get to see for free. Ever since then I have thoroughly enjoyed every dream I've had, no matter how scary. but what if you dont like scary movies LOL

The only good reasons I watch series is Daryl and the zombies. IMO they should let everyone die except Daryl. Would be way more entertaining.

zombies are actually the least scary monster though, they're so frigging slow and stupid, you'd have to be an idiot to get caught by them. The running kind from 28 Days Later were a bit scarier.
Werewolves, now those are awesome beasts. Zombies are scary to me because of the walking corpse aspect. It's an uncanny valley thing -- they look human, but they're not, and when you get close to one you get the unnerving feeling of something terrifying wearing human skin. The sheer grotesqueness of a rotten corpse somehow being forced to continue to move is deeply unsettling. Zombie movies don't really play up this aspect nearly enough. It's all scare and survival and no creeping dread. Though I do appreciate that the Walking Dead shies away from jump scares. To me zombies are actually less scary when they're fast.
Plus a thousand.
Romero style zombies were always the most awesome because of what they represent (an undead ghoul without a 'soul' wandering around and trying to nom you up) and the atmosphere they create, not because they were more dangerous in a general sense. If a zombie is fast it might as well be any other monster "comin' to get ya'". That said, I still loved 28 days later (super rabies spreading super fast is pretty scary) and DotD remake, but the whole essence of a true zombie movie is a weak shambling corpse which overwhelms survivors in the end and causes the feeling of despair.

This show became a lot better after the break, finally something happening. Though they either should improve some characters or kill them off. I was really optimistic they would kill Lori last episode, was even rooting for the zombie crawling through windscreen... Damn! Same for tdog.... When is last time he did something? Only thing I can think of is cut his arm in that horrible highway scene.

No No No ..... Romero's stories, especially movies based upon the stories were just garbage. Never afraid of zombies until Walking Dead, this is the first show or movie for that matter that portrays zombies terrifying as they should be.
Romeros stuff is just blehhhh......... always about kids getting lost in a forrest and then gets overwhelmed by stupid zombies that look utterly fake.

Well, to be fair, Night of the Living Dead had a budget of like...$12.

I love the show and how its picked up definitely my favorite show on tv right now.
That being said I hate Lori I want her to die, like really its a show that is suppose to be full of danger and everything. You have some dumb bitch driving off crashing her car, walking down the road at night with one gun and a limited amount of bullets still somehow survive? Really that is just stupid, that is almost as bad as if they magically found sophia alive hiding under a rock.
Lori though, she is a great actor in almost every show she has played in she played the dumb bitch role REALLY well. Like I must applaud her she is really great at being a dumb bitch and I like her as an actor, just on this show she probably should be dead and its frustrating she isn't.
Imo I feel like more characters need to be dying off and new ones to replace them. So many people hate more than half of the cast on the show.
All of this said, I love this show it feels like such a great show and I always enjoy watching it even when it was at the period where it was nothing but drama sittin on a farm.
I haven't read the comics but I think daryl(the dude with crossbow is who I mean) and that old lady end up hooking up and getting freaky.
Edit: I hate the farm.

Actually....
+ Show Spoiler +From what I've heard Daryl wasn't in the comics. He's a TV only character.

Un-fucking-believable that nobody even mentioned the perfectly good car she crashed. I honestly wanted Shane to kick her face when he found her in the middle of the road, the hell is she thinking. And her ending conversation with Rick... somebody needs to shut this bitch up and tell her what's up. Aint no fucking fairytale starting with a Z.

While I find him pretty annoying and useless, I think he's more of a moral factor in the group. He tries to keep things "humane" and "civilized", albeit the fact that those traits don't really suit the new world. That being said, it's annoying as hell that he keeps acting like a teenage girl and spreading rumors about Shane that he has no method of proving.

Don't you be hating on my favorite character in the series. I think he's gonna be the next to die sadly, probably at the hands of Shane. Can't wait for Lori, Shane, and Adrian to die. Pretty much like everyone else.

I have a squirrel infestation and kill them often, but they seem too sketchy to even feed to the dog. They eat a lot of garbage where I live, but maybe forest squirrels would be tasty.

I think unless this season significantly improves then TWD will not make it passed a 3rd season.

This show is actually very popular, makes me sad that Breaking Bad and Mad men don't compare in viewer numbers.

Yeah ... you are aware that the show is breaking records left and right? Even if it isn't winning awards and is vastly inferior to some of AMC's other offerings it looks to be around for a few more seasons at least, depending on what Kirkman and the rest of the writers want to do with it.

Romeros stuff is just blehhhh......... always about kids getting lost in a forrest and then gets overwhelmed by stupid zombies that look utterly fake. The zombies in TWD are scary because they can chase and kill you. That's fine and dandy. I'm loving the show.
But I want to be scared of the zombies because they are living corpses. If an actual dead body started moving around again, it would be absolutely terrifying even if it was harmless. I want an otherworldly sense of dread and fear of the zombies in and of themselves. The show doesn't do enough to tap into our primal fear of and disgust with dead things.

Not going to happen. AMC already stated that season 3 will happen.
